  1. Btw did he ever do any other station besides Runza and the four stations listed? I'm surprised he wasn't more widely used....while his voice may not have been "Voice of God" like Charlie Van Dyke, this guy's voice is buttery smooth

  3. I think the days of the Morning Shows having a Newsreader in accordance with the Co-anchors are over for the Networks. CBS did away with it in 2012 and NBC did in 2016. Now GMA has slowing been easing out that position from the show and I think now they have completely cut it from the show and don't have that seat anymore. They don't have a Newsreader anymore thought haven't made it official. Amy Robach does not give the news anymore like she uses to. She comes on now at 7:30 sometimes 8 doing other things but usually not reading the news. I think the days of having a Male and Female Co-anchor team with a (Usually Female) Newsreader and a Weatherman (A Male) are over. It is a very 1980s and 1990s format which to the network is probably outdated format now. Sometimes you need to change things up and not having the newsreader role anymore hasn't hurt NBC and CBS.

  4. Not a surprise and a very abrupt ending to a storied career in Nashville television. It seems Meredith has a lot of skeletons in the closet regarding HR issues. Being a magazine company catering to primarily females, it seems like this type of discrimination is rampant in order to secure younger and cheaper "eye candy". As soon as her non-compete wraps up, I'm sure she'll be back on Nashville TV again.

  6. The person who wrote that is one of those WNYT lifers who got hired right out of college and has stuck around for their entire adult life. At the time that post was written, he was their Webmaster, becoming their Digital Manager when that job became a bit more complex. Part of that post makes me wonder. And this might be part of why their 1995 backdrop is immortal...

  7. WNBC had more tech problems this morning. At 4:27 AM a commercial break started which included them playing the same News 4 promos twice. They came back for a few seconds with no graphics only for the station to go into another commercial break. At 4:36 AM they did weather and traffic with no on screen graphics. When they came back from commercials at 4:41 AM things were back to normal. I'm guessing this was an issue with the computer system that automates the newscast?

  9. Some video has surfaced of KAMR bumpers using the same logo as is on the Peters FB page. The tagline for them was "It's 4 Sure". Three-note musical signature?

  17. Longtime WSMV news anchor Demetria Kalodimos is no longer employed at the station as her contract was allowed to expire on yesterday December 31st. http://www.wsmv.com/story/37167936/wsmv-thanks-demetria-kalodimos There is also an ongoing lawsuit against the station over allegations of "age discrimination" by some of its former on-air personalities that was filed back in late November (Kalodimos was named a witness in the suit). http://tennesseestar.com/2017/12/02/former-wsmv-news-channel-4-newscasters-file-age-discrimination-lawsuit/
