  1. I think they’re referring to whatever the background is on the TS set haha. It’s pretty terrible but if that’s the theme then they did a great job replicating it at the HQs uptown.

  2. I just saw a video from the noon newscast (they were sitting normally this morning). They're even further apart than before, but at least more centered this time. Also I took a screenshot cause I thought this graphic looked...interesting.

  3. From 1958, an edition of what was then WCKT in Miami's political discussion show "First Federal Presents" (sponsored by First Federal Bank{?}) with then-Florida Democratic Senator George Smathers as the guest.

  5. http://www.newsmusicnow.com/player.php?id=4219 found the cut that’s catchy (Tease B). This is the full closing theme used at Noon and the 3pm show, but they use a minus one version for its bumpers on the A Block (12:10pm) at Noon and B block (3:22pm)

  6. Blame it on 90 years of copyright terms in this country.

  7. Still not sure what that art project behind them is supposed to be. But I agree -- they did a nice job bring this into the HQ space.

  8. CBS Local would fit KDKA very well with its Black and Gold Look. I hope someone can do a resync of KDKA using CBS Local.

  9. Temporary. They vacated the main set sometime after November sweeps, and with tonights upload, basically confirmed that News Series 2000, new anchor assignments, and the KABC-style set debuted after Christmas, but likely right on January 2nd, 1984.

  10. This is a treat -- a complete WLS 10 p.m. Christmas Eve broadcast from 1983, the tail end of the (Seven's) On Your Side era -- and Alan Krashesky with the weather:

  11. I think they’ll for sure take Chuck off MSNBC, the viewers don’t like MTP Daily. Meet The Press is in 3rd place (total & prime viewers), so maybe NBC wants to make a change before the midterms. Who knows. NBC News Universal News Group has not been utilizing talent like they should recently, they have a lot of good, young talent on the bench just sitting there. Odds are they’ll lose some of them to competition who will give them a regular spot.

  12. So what’s going on with MSNBC programing tonight? No Ayman, are they limiting broadcasts from 30 Rock again with COVID outbreaks in the building? SNL had huge changes announced today, it wouldn’t surprise me if The Tonight Show went back to no audience and if Today limited the Plazza to less people while still requiring proof of vaccination.

  13. So basically, no matter how old or new it is, if it's Sony-owned, it's blocked on YouTube?

  14. That was me that heard the CBS Local used for the election. Makes me wonder if they’re starting to phase in CBS Local and will eventually be dropping Enforcer…

  16. Moderators - can you please consider renaming this thread to “Gray Graphics” since this thread has long passed the scope of the topic…and ironically, the WOIO graphics aren’t even the standard Gray graphics. (It might be a better idea than being rude to people who post threads with this topic/title, then belittle them and shut down the thread…)

  17. Saw it last night. A step in the right direction for sure. Was glad to see the WLNY bug implemented again. Maybe in the future, as COVID eases out, we might see more. I honestly wish the WCBS/WLNY duopoly was as good as the KCBS/KCAL duopoly.
