How do the drivers have visible muscle definition over their suits? Yeah, these Fox packages are comical, all right. Comically bad.2 points

Wow, talk about two overplayed concepts in graphics design: comic book styling and heavy use of italics.2 points

WABC's President & General Manager Chad Matthews has been appointed as new President of the ABC Owned Television Stations. No word on who'll replace Matthews as GM of Channel 7.2 points

Probably posted by Grey’s digital hub and likely not a sign of anything. ETA: They’re in breaking coverage right now for Sean Payton leaving and using the Raycom graphics.2 points

I'd argue the look of CBS News (streaming) is a better implementation than what's on network, outside of some minor nitpicks - IMO, the logo bug is too big, the little programming indicator is too small. I think if they adjusted it so that the programming indicator was within the box, it would help, and they could go back to what they have now when the programming isn't live. Example:2 points

It's the '98 Camry of news desks- CBS is gonna get 100,000+ miles out of that sucker!2 points

You’re way too obsessed with the black/gold look at KD. Any future new O&O graphics will be standard on KD and not black/gold.2 points

I love this new look of the streaming network. The graphics look simple but great, the new music sounds amazing and the set looks fantastic (and the desk finally has a regular home). This whole new look is very well done and better than both ABC and NBC by far.2 points

Good old WNEP. For all of the love the music gets across Northeastern and ALL of Central Pennsylvania... They still get the callers who can't stand when the lottery numbers come on...2 points

Here's a WRGB newscast from 1983, when it was a CBS affiliate. It uses the same theme as KOA-TV (now KCNC) in Denver and WNGE (now WKRN) in Nashville had around.1 point

Lori came back and then was gone for a week or so again. What was odd was that they replaced her with Teresa Priolo (which, like Kayla in the AM, is fine with me) and Teresa did the 6pm newscast instead of having a regular like Steve Lacey do it. Yesterday, when Steve was out, but Lori was back, she's anchoring 5pm solo with no sub (but maybe it was a last minute thing since he was back on Tuesday). Between that and the 6am hour, strange stuff going on at WNYW.1 point

Don’t forget Jane Pauley (Sunday Morning) and Deborah Norville (Inside Edition, part of CBS’s production arm).1 point

The KDKA black and gold is the best looking that I've seen so far amongst the CBS O&Os. It's a departure from the usual blue or white box look on most TV news casts. That being said it would look nice if each individual CBS affiliate could have their own tweaks to the standard graphics package for individuality. As for the CBS News streaming graphics, it's the typical white box flatness, but it works nonetheless. really digging the textured world map element to the CBS News Mornings orange package. Overall the rebrand works though I thought they'd call it something like "CBS News+" to distinguish the national streaming feed from the TV network.1 point

Recall that Khemlani's charge was to cut costs across the division. It would not surprise me if this were a sly but effective tactic by CBS in Norah's contract renegotiation to suggest to her that she is dispensable, in an effort to counter her request for more money.1 point

But with everyone having wx apps on their phone which are more accurate for the temp thanks to location tracking etc, is time/temp really necessary on the screen? Or in the days of cleaner, simpler looks is it just clutter that can be jettisoned?1 point

More writing on the wall- that shiny new Studio 57 set can probably make for an easy move for CBSEN back to NYC1 point

All this during contract talks with Norah and CBS...yikes! But this is definitely not surprising from CBS. The Evening News is like a death sentence for journalist.1 point

The only graphical changes to the CBS News locals today were a new title card and logo. Otherwise, it’s still the core 2018 CBSN Local package. Any new graphics will debut on the O&Os and the streaming platforms simultaneously.1 point

The changes brought CBSN very much in line with the extensive visual and brand rebrand that CBS News has gone through in recent times. It continues to tie so many of their brands together. Throughout the day, the CBS News Streaming Network will air live daily newscasts of up-to-the minute news. Anchors Vladimir Duthiers, Anne-Marie Green, Tanya Rivero, Lana Zak, and Elaine Quijano will now, for the first time, be joined by Tony Dokoupil, co-host of CBS MORNINGS; Michelle Miller, Jeff Glor and Dana Jacobson from CBS SATURDAY MORNING; Jericka Duncan, anchor of CBS WEEKEND NEWS and CBS News national correspondent; and correspondents from across the Network. The evening lineup kicks off at 6:00 PM, ET with the nightly political program RED AND BLUE now drawing upon CBS News’ Washington team of anchors and correspondents. At 7:00 PM, ET, the CBS News Streaming Network will deliver a live prime time news hour, recapping all of the top stories of the day and leveraging our New York headquarters and Washington and Los Angeles Bureaus. Beginning at 8:00 PM, ET the stream will present content from CBS News’ flagship broadcasts The new changes include weekly shows highlighting several of CBS' longtime brands - CBS Sunday Morning, Money Watch, Climate Watch, Eye on America, On the Road, etc. And for fun, attached is a .gif of the new CBS News Mornings (previously CBSN:AM). High-res pics from CBS PR are also attached1 point

It's all over the news in the Bay Area. It's Frank Somerville. Sucks for him, but no need to withhold his name. If he didn't want to make the headlines, he shouldn't have gotten behind the wheel while intoxicated. I hope he gets help. www.kron4.com/news/bay-area/bay-area-tv-anchor-frank-somerville-arrested-on-suspicion-of-dui/1 point

Longtime Colorado Sports Anchor Les Shapiro has entered hospice after an unsuccessful battle with cancer. Les had been Sports Director at at WEEK-TV, CBS 4 Denver, et. al. Having spent most of his career in beautiful Colorado, Les was a kind, humble man who loved his job, spending many more years on the radio than anything. Please keep his family in your thoughts during this challenging time. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Les_Shapiro0 points
