  3. Good Morning America, Christmas 1993. Ornate decorations creating depth. These days all of this elegant detailing would be done on a video wall.

  4. Because an increasing number of people, including myself, don't want to spend upwards of $60 a month on a bundle of channels. It's the same reason I prefer watching NBC News Now free on YouTube than MSNBC on expensive cable television.

  7. WJET/WFXP would got a new look a week ago. The new WJET open means the end of any Hothaus-era WKRC-like graphics package.

  8. Bingo. Heck, the only reason I still have cable TV is because I live with my mother and know she wouldn't want to give it up.

  9. Thanks for posting, Dan. I think every single person who has said something in this thread (including myself) would say we really appreciate your work. I don't know of anyone else who had that many concurrent campaigns on the air in the same market. A lot of craft goes into making all that work, and this thread exists because we want to recognize the people that produced it.

  10. Just chiming in on this thread. Actually, I composed and produced music for 5 Seattle market TV stations at the same time which all ran concurrently. KOMO TV KING TV KIRO TV KTZZ TV KCPQ TV None of the stations were aware I had done most all of their competitors. This is the first mention of it. There were other stations added to the list. WTVD, WTNH, KOVR, WIXT, KDFW and a few others. Thank you for the info. posted on this site. Dan Dean Dan Dean Productions

  11. Welp, it's February 2022 (the first Sweeps month of the year), and none of the 8 ABC O&O's have adopted the new graphics. Makes me wonder if the stations are satisfied with the graphics they have right now.

  12. Funny how disputes end when it is close to the Olympics & Super Bowl that Dish agrees with TEGNA I'm guessing Dish will drop it's complaint with the FCC.

  14. ABC News set from the late 1990s. I know that another backdrop of Cleveland mainly with The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame was used on the other anchor desk photo 2. Another was a sunrise for Good Morning Cleveland.

  16. WFLD has been quietly renovating (for over a year) the majority of their footprint (offices, storage, lobbies, etc…) at 205 N. Michigan Ave. Last Summer, they renegotiated (and extended) their lease which freed up a ton of cash to completely gut some spaces (along Lake Street) and bring other work spaces up to 2022 standards (if you will). Work continues with no (official) end date announced.
