  1. In a few years 7online will look like a relic and it'll redirect in the meantime.
  2. Synergy...
  3. I'm gonna be really interested to see how he does. Thanks for the info too
  4. WXYZ has on Sunday's since January 2014.
  5. If you are in market 181 does that still count as TV we'd recognize? It's gotta be awful low budget and he must have a GREAT agent.
  6. She can play them like puppets at this point...
  7. Yesterday's storm coverage alert ended with "watch on ABC7!". I swear parts of WLS's offerings are beginning to deteriorate. First it was last Friday's garbage 10pm show and now yet another example of an immature alert this time during a serious situation.
  8. How about taking a page from FOX's book? NBC News. Short sweet and to the point. Other names are just gloss on the obvious fact that MSNBC is intricately tied to NBC News even if as I've noted before NBC dislikes MSNBC at times.
  9. Yes he did.
  10. Cheryl Burton is an odd one... But "Faith" seems pretty mundane as tatoos go... Their 10pm Friday night was extremely weak.
  11. WXYZ dumped it's duratrans in favor of a screen mounted in it's place. This allows them to change images behind the anchors on the fly. The image displayed is a smaller version of what the duratrans used to look like and the circle 7 logo no longer gets cut off. For the last 4 years only the bottom of the circle 7 was visible in a close-up 2 anchor shot. It is a horrifically calibrated set but this improves it somewhat: Here's an example of it changing images:
  12. Audrina Bigos is joining WBBM as a general assignment reporter from WCCB, the CW station in Charlotte, NC owned by Bahakel Communications.
  13. NBC 5 has begun sending push alerts nightly for their 10pm newscast the same way Channel 7 does.
  14. Thanks for counting... For the sake of talents I'll accept the 42.
  15. I figured she was pregnant... She appears to have gained a lot of weight. How many talents does 7 have? It's gotta be over 40.
  16. Well the web stream turned on at a fashionably late 1026 tonight... Just in time to turn off again for sports.
  17. Well that's odd... Did you find the abc7ny one to be hard to read as far as the eyewitness news lettering went? I could barely read it.
  18. Ummm... Yes there is... Colors and gradients and some shape and size stuff.
  19. It all looks like MSNBC in the end.
  20. In the end they got it from a design company and not Louisville. They aren't all identical either.
  21. Interesting... They use lots of ABC News packages here and some Scripps national ones... If they've used Newsey ones I'd have no idea how to tell...
  22. Sub 1.0 total? Ellen is pretty darn popular on WDIV here and it's actually hurt The NOW because it gives First At 4 a big lead in which is something Dr. Oz just cannot do and neither could Meredith.
  23. The XYZ version is pretty much straight hard news and they are now promoting it counter to First At 4. "Breaking news NOW, Your latest forecast NOW" etc... It's an admiral job given the hand they were dealt. It's basically morphed into the anti-now and the open uses "You're watching 7 Action News" instead of mentioning the NOW at all in the VO. They saw it didn't work and ran as far away from it as Scripps let them. It's an earlier time clone of their O&O style 5pm. At some point it'll probably become 7 Action News at 4. Overall compared to version 1.0, the 2.0 version is a masterpiece. That's how horrific the first 6 months of this show were.
  24. Ours was like that too except they did a conventionally timed weathercast.
  25. When I clicked on WTVF it gave me their site with the WXYZ logo at the top. Of the other 2 one was blank and the other had a Scripps logo at the top. As for the NOW... It ranges from bad in some markets to actually pretty good in Detroit.
