1. Good for Channel 9. Better late than never and its great that WGN will have somebody like her. She's got big shoes to fill so I'll see if she's up for the task myself.
2. GTN News is dead in Gainesville. As first reported by Florida NewsCenter... GTN News is now CBS 4 News and has taken the KDBC route in terms of graphics and its logo: http://flnewscenter.com/?p=10247 WGFL and WMYG are owned by New Age Media, but are operated by Sinclair under a master service agreement. WNBW and WYME are owned by MPS Media, but are operated by Sinclair under also a master service agreement. Apparently, CBS 4 News is on both WGFL 28 (Cable 4; reason behind the CBS 4 branding) and WNBW 9 with no references to the NBC station, according to the story. The only newscasts are weekdays at 6:00 and 11:00pm.
3. I know that the title was never used, but I was trying to make a point by bringing the 11:00am newscast back with the future name it would use.
4. I know but I was trying to make a point.
5. Or just cancel WCL and bring back "ABC 7 Eyewitness News Midday." That's the best option.
6. I did with KOCO but later took that out after realizing it. I guess I'll start doing that next time if I see any website with it before I do.
7. If it ain't on TVSpy, TVNewsCheck, FTVLive or anywhere, then I put it as that, with credit to somebody else if needed. For example, the KCWI thing... I was first because I beat TVSpy, TVNewsCheck and FTVLive to the story, even though I gave credit to The Des Moines Register for actually being first on it. Plus, I used some of their information for my report.
8. Yep!!! Rich Liberman is stupid for posting it as an "EXCLUSIVE" when I already knew about this, 20 days ago!
9. Is he late or what? His story about this is today, March 30th. FTVLive and I (with credit from FTVLive) posted stories about this on March 10th, 20 days ago: https://changingnewscasts.wordpress.com/2016/03/10/kron-getting-back-into-1000-pm-news-7-days-a-week-1100-pm-news-shortened/ EDIT: 1,000th post.
10. Only a few don't offer it on MeTV now like WAPT and only a few don't offer primetime news at all because they carry a different network.
11. I really can't tell for sure, but I think that WFOR is doing the same.
12. 1 and a 1/2 years after this newscast was gone, it has returned: And now get ready for all the changes that WOI is planning to make to KCWI, at least in terms of local newscasts:
13. Blaine Stewart: WHLT, then WRBL before WTKR.
14. Meow! (trying to imitate MTM Enterprises)
15. Yes and without the CBS logo on it, since WREG uses its "3" and not the CBS eye.
16. As I predicted before... I have a feeling they will go the WREG way and use WREG graphics.
17. Well I said that to differentiate the first era of CBS This Morning from '87-'99 in which it had Mark McEwen as weather anchor.
18. If you mean by since 2012, then yes. They never had one.
19. Just realized that. Apologies.
20. All right! WLS' weather equipment and talent vs. WMAQ's weather equipment vs. WGN's weather talent. In other words, both WBBM and WFLD's weather equipment and talent sucks (with sole exception to WBBM's Baskerville).
21. CBS 13 News at 6:30 on CW 31 with Adrienne Moore and Dave Baker. This is a regular newscast, not just a temporary thing. KOVR 13 already does 11:00pm news for KMAX 31.
22. Because of the Chris Matthews controversy with Kathleen Matthews, if Chris leaves or is forced to resign from MSNBC, would "The News with Brian Williams" return on weeknights? This time at 7:00pm and not in its original 8:00pm time slot?
23. In other words, the Phoenix market is just as competitive (or just as bad) as the Pittsburgh television market, with all stations claiming wins. The only exception I see is that Phoenix has no dominant and KDKA is the dominant in Pittsburgh. But I think KSAZ is the dominant one in Phoenix.
24. I have no idea who's #1 in Phoenix since it sounds like 3/5ths (KPNX and KTVK/KPHO) of the TV market is a mess.
25. Woah. I never knew that WGN's Weather team was that big. I don't think I've seen a station that has former lead forecasters, top weather historians and the former head of a local NWS office.
