  1. I posted about this a little while back, but WXMI is now going full swing with the Scripps-cast...
  2. I was trying to scour on here and online -- Do we know of any "big name" anchors, etc. that might be headed here?
  3. Promos are beginning to roll out for CBS Atlanta...
  4. I have a feeling that this will be too much for him in the long run... Given his age, and the fact the is already so active on social media platforms and such... Unless he hires a social media manager (unless he has one and I don't know of it), he's going to burn out fast.... I wonder if this is a subtle hint of him retiring from 33/40 in the next few years?
  5. Alabama's Meteorologist James Spann will start his own televised weather network "The Alabama Weather Network" beginning August 11. It will serve all 67 counties of Alabama. As for now, he will still stay with ABC 33/40 as their chief met.
  6. Yes, WILX did do news for WSYM before the Scripps takeover. I think this is great for WSYM.. They totally got the shaft from Scripps... Especially when they were having WXMI do their weather for awhile. The only good thing that KKTV will get out of it is hopefully a brand change. Some point this year, they changd their branding to KKTV 11 Alert News and Weather... Not sure what is worse, First Alert News or Alert News....
  7. I'm thinking this is why we're starting to see more local weather "extras" being produced, as well as Matt Laubhan's new venture... I'm pretty sure we're going to see plenty more in the coming months...
  8. As saddening as this is, it's also exciting. He was going to get screwed over by Allen one way or another. I wish him the best. I've been watching his live stream and he seems so much happier as well.
  9. TMJ4 meteorologist Brendan Johnson is being bumped up from weekend mornings to weekday morings. He replaces Tyler Moore who is leaving. Meteorologist Kristen Kirchaine is also leaving the team.
  10. Nothing major, but Scripps updated the top banner of their websites
  11. I will say at least the new set will help with the seamless transition between "local 10 news" and "local 10 world news"
  12. Nexstar's WETM has made history by having the first all female, all black weather team -- Don't know what the demographic is for the Elmira, NY area, but you'd think this would've happened in a larger market.. Nonetheless, a great feat indeed!
  13. I'm not mad with the WISH package... It's still waaaay better than their previous outdated package
  14. I was wondering the same thing, as most (if not all besides Gulf Coast News) have updated their opens... Which is odd
  15. the domain will most likely be cbsnews.com/atlanta or cbsnews.com/georgia depending on final branding
  16. Wow... That's a lot of... Gold..... I hope to God these colors can change... that's waaaaay too bright
  17. Again I don't know why these stations are updating these POS's when they are in the midst of rolling out a new package
  18. When you hear of OK weather, you think Gary England.... RIP to a weather legend
  19. Interesting shot -- I kinda liked KSWB's previous set... I'm hoping to God they get new graphics with the new set -- kinda hoping for the Nexstar Fox package that WXIN and WDAF received
  20. They are broadcasting their news via KABB studios.. Found on their website . Weather is being done by KEYE
  21. Not bad, but they either need to reduce the font size or increase the space for the headlines... Seeing the word Investigation on 2 different lines looks tacky
  22. I'm baffled by this -- Isn't this why they wanted O&O's in the major sports markets?? Interesting to see what their "long-term" plan is with this....
  23. WCPO's Craig McKee moves from WCPO to KNXV per FTVLive
  24. No this is not Effra -- it's definitely the font used by the new Cox graphics package that just came out
  25. Definite upgrade -- looks like the font from the Cox graphics package
