You guys are brutal, I bet the staff had to put it together over a weekend, and they still had to pay extra for the "party bulbs".

Did they get it through a Go Fund Me page?

It's not too bad. Consider that this is a former Barrington station that we're dealing with here. As @WSVNFan pointed out earlier, anything is better than what they used to have, which looked pretty bad to begin with.

Sinclair has been doing "okay" with the sets.. Who keeps designing these cheap looking logos though?? Probably a reporter's 8-year-old who was dabbling in PowerPoint or Paint heh

Actually I heard they just put a few things in the blender and it fails to blend properly and the logos are a result of that.

It's not high tech but not bad for the market. The key is they finally went HD and got some robotics, which cost money.

KRCG's previous set was actually installed under Mel Wheeler ownership in 2003. The old graphics (or a variation) date back to the same time.

KRCG is just awful and a mess. Not to also mention the fact that they produce the least amount of news hours per week in the market, since KMIZ and now KOMU air weekend morning news.

Not to mention that both also air 9:00pm newscasts (KQFX-LD 22 and KOMU-DT 8.3, respectively).

Considering what KRCG had under Barrington, this isn't too bad, IMO.

Exactly. Barrington is the one station group in which a buyout from Sinclair actually helped improved these stations. Only a matter of time before in-state sister stations KHQA and KTVO get these new graphics as well.

Don't forget WNWO. They are still in mess after change branding from WNWO to NBC24

could they try launching a newscast for STL that is actually produced in Jefferson City like Tribune is trying to do with WTVR for DC?

KDNL already has "newscasts" with the Allman Report.

The set is an improvement but...it's like trading in a Geo Metro for a 2011 Aveo
