Full write up from AT&T.

AT&T now has four divisions, which will operate independently.

Its Communications division, its Media biz, its ad & analytics biz & its international division.

AT&T has yet to name its media business now formerly known as Time Warner.

And the former TW CEO Bewkes will stay on as an advisor through the transition phase.

Time Warner is now WarnerMedia, a subsidiary of AT&T Inc. The times, they are a-changin'.

It’s necessary. The “Time” in Time Warner left long ago.

So if I dial "O" for the Operator will I get Jeff Zuker ?

"AT&T will be retiring the Time Warner name, but Stankey wasn't quite ready to reveal the new brand yet. He said AT&T spent time testing the new name through market research, surveys and focus groups."

The name "WarnerMedia" is such a no-brainer that all this fuss sounds ridiculous.

They have already added the logo to Time Warner's website and changed its URL.

AT&T is back to 80's levels before the government disband the evil empire that was AT&T and forming the baby bells. DOJ should keep fighting it all the way to the supreme court and not let AT&T & Time Warner from merging the judge was wrong and clearly doesn't know the law.

Well, Time Warner rebranded to Warner Media after AT&T closed their merger

Isn’t this a crappy logo for Warner Media? I’m getting out my barf bag!

and unfortunately a new byline that's probably going to butcher some logos after movies and TV shows.

It'd be better if the words were on the same line, or "MEDIA" was centered horizontally under "WARNER".

But what would help more is color.

Okay, yeah, the bylines. But WB was the only division that ever really showed the Time Warner logo to the public on a regular basis, and we don't know if they plan on keeping a byline or not. (That CN logo doesn't have Time Warner's corporate logo, and the one they replaced it with eschews a byline altogether)

The movie studio has used a byline on all of their production logos since 1970, a practice that probably should have ended after the AOLTimeWarner era.
