WBFF New Graphics, possible new Sinclair Graphics?

Gosh, it's huge. I get ABC is very much a stickler about logo sizing, but it's overpowering.

I hated it when KFSN enlarged the ABC logo  into their logo a few years ago.

It's probably unrelated, but WHAM is one of the Sinclair shells that's affected by the AT&T blackout.  That's got to be a good chunk of their audience right there.  If and when they come back, you'll probably have a lot of surprised viewers who have been in the dark for months.... But then again WUHF is directly owned by Sinclair and is unaffected.

This is generally the style that most affiliates are going these days. Simple After Effects renderings that are easy (and cheap) to produce and require no deep design knowledge to build.

I saw them debut but didn't say anything cause didn't think it was a big deal. Nothing special. lol. The voiceover on some of their opens is very weirdly voiced. Kinda rushed or something.

I don't mind the Sinclair graphics on WSYX. Some of them are even borderline attractive. But that transition thing with the blue and white diagonal stripes has got to go. That is beyond ugly.

The “chime” sound WRGB uses for its slides is getting pretty annoying...

WPMI still has their existing graphics on their other newscasts....how did they end up with the new look already?

 

EDIT: The new look is only on the 7pm news on their sister station WJTC...all of the other newscasts on WPMI are still the existing ones.

 

I've never seen a station launch like this before....are they testing out the bugs on their least viewed show?

As much as I Hate Sinclair Media and their right wing bias, I like the Curves and Glass theme. Just wished it was use for Non-Sinclair stations.

WLUK in Green Bay appears to be the next to get the new Sinclair graphics. The weather graphics have been switched over, but the rest of the newscast is unaffected. I'm curious if WLUK will keep Aerial as their theme or if they'll end up with the standard Sinclair music.

It appears Fresno's KMPH & Omaha KPTM have the new graphics.

 

That means for Omaha, that mean no more Fox O&O gfx & Convergence theme music.

 

Also, nearly a couple of weeks back, Medford, OR's KTVL also switch to the new graphics. This also came as the station's move to a brand new studio inside the Mail Tribune building in downtown Medford.

I do find it strange that their sister station to the north (KVAL) is still using the old KOMO/Fisher style graphics but the Weather gfx are the new Sinclair graphic.
