TheRolyPoly 2641 Posted May 30 Posted May 30 (edited) Here's a retirement that I didn't know about: Todd and Jacqueline Karli have retired from WBOC-TV after nearly a decade there. They retired at the end of the 4pm newscast. https://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1158030996359732&id=100064585278189 Edited May 30 by TheRolyPoly It was at 4, not 5pm. Oopsies. 1
MetroNews 10 Posted May 30 Posted May 30 I used to work with them here in the Bakersfield market. Talked to Jackie earlier today. They are thrilled to be moving back to California- specifically the central coast. I created the gfx below for social media. 1
Chief-O 34 Posted May 30 Posted May 30 (edited) Another longstanding era in Green Bay news is coming to an end. Juli Buehler, news director at WLUK for the last 30 years, is retiring. She had actually announced her retirement back in March, but the station aired a tribute to her just minutes ago. https://fox11online.com/news/local/wluk-fox-11-news-director-juli-buehler-retiring-background-biography-tributes-bill-weir-jim-willi-jay-zollar-drew-smith-michelle-vetterkind# Edited May 30 by Chief-O 1

MediaZone4K 2303 Posted June 3 Posted June 3 More changes in Atlanta. WXIA's much promoted 4pm team of Johnathan Martin (formerly KRIV) and Faith Jessie is no more. He swaps places with morning anchor Cheryl Prehiem. Rachael Cox Rosen is the new traffic anchor. I liked Jonathan and Faith together. https://www.11alive.com/video/news/local/11alive-morning-team-says-goodbye-to-cheryl-prehiem-and-julie-smith/85-fb635351-f770-4419-bb36-f875d32729de# 1

TheRolyPoly 2641 Posted June 4 Posted June 4 Update WDAY-TV has found their replacement for John Wheeler as Chief Meteorologist... ... its Jesse Ritka. For those of you who've been on the forum for so long, she used to work at WTMJ-TV Milwaukee for a decade before joining WDAY-TV shortly before COVID took over. Now, she gets the Chief gig full-time and leading a weather team of six which is rare for a market that size. https://www.facebook.com/wdaytv/posts/congratulations-to-jesse-ritka-wdays-new-chief-meteorologist-jesse-has-been-with/1095953142566157/ Here, she's being interviewed by former KVLY-TV anchor Robin Huebner (who you don't see or hear here) who TIL works for The Forum of Fargo-Moorhead, the TV station's sister daily newspaper: 1
TheRolyPoly 2641 Posted June 4 Posted June 4 For the next two days before his retirement from WTHR, Chuck Lofton will be delivering the weather... from the Chuck Lofton Studio as WTHR has commenced as of today. Chuck retires on Friday after a 40-year run that also has included gifted signed jerseys from the Colts (signed by the late Jim Irsay), Pacers (signed by Tyrese Haliburton), and Fever (signed by Caitlin Clark) plus an invitation to join the Pacers' upcoming (maybe) Championship Parade. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DKfkITbvoj4/?igsh=MWN0a3RreGxxbm9hNw== 1 1
