C Block 1566 Posted July 5, 2022 Posted July 5, 2022 For those interested, KNBC is launching a 3pm show in September. 1
LANewsWatcher22 0 Posted August 18, 2022 Posted August 18, 2022 Has anyone noticed that KNBC has been reporting in their newsroom as of late? Anyone know if they are getting a new set or upgrades? I noticed that the weather and traffic reports have been done in a completely separate room and the sports reports have been done in their newsroom.
MetroCity 248 Posted August 19, 2022 Posted August 19, 2022 (edited) They’re installing new equipment in their primary news control room. The back-up control room they’re using only serves the newsroom. Edited August 19, 2022 by MetroCity
Devin 15 Posted September 14, 2022 Posted September 14, 2022 Who is the anchor f the new 3pm newscast?

The weekend evening meteorologist gave the forecast, but I don't know if that'll be split duties, like 11am, or if someone else was off.

24994J 5619 Posted September 29, 2022 Posted September 29, 2022 We're not gonna rehash this in another station's thread. Romero is now at KNBC. KTLA is in the past. 2 4
CalItalian2 163 Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 KNBC is going all out for Romero. Look at how extensive they listed how to connect to Today in L.A. https://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/local/how-to-watch-lynette-romero-on-nbc4s-today-in-la/3001241/?_osource=SocialFlowFB_LABrand
MorningNews 1483 Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 Very happy for Lynette. She deserves this moment. 1

Taking advantage of the moment. Let's see if Lynette and Adrian can lead Today in LA back to the ratings dominance similar to the Kent and Kathy era. 1
24994J 5619 Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 Honestly, KNBC would've been insanely dumb if they didn't promote the hell out of this. 4
MorningNews 1483 Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 Yeah I’m not seeing this is as any more thirsty as anything else prompted by local news. This is a huge get for them. I believe KABC has had a recent morning anchor change too? KCBS and KTTV are changing. This is a great moment for KNBC to capture some wins.   Side note, their set is easily the worst in the NBC O&O line. It has a dark hue to it. 2

MorningNews 1483 Posted October 19, 2022 Posted October 19, 2022 Thoughts on Lynette’s settling in at Today in LA? I’m happy for her but KNBC is such a different product than KTLA. A little more boring if you will. It’s a very stiff and corporate newscast. I like what Lynette brings but it’s odd seeing her be the less buttoned up one on a show compared to the cast she worked with at KTLA. In time things will gel better.
FiveNews 378 Posted October 19, 2022 Posted October 19, 2022 I agree. Watched a few episodes of Today in LA when Lynette took over. It seems like the Today in LA cast is trying to be more like KTLA- personality driven. It doesn't work with the cast currently constructed...comes across as a little fake. I hope they gel in the coming weeks and the growing pains can be worked out. 2
