We are starting to see NBC and Sky working closer and closer together. We are seeing with SkySports and NBC Sport collab on English Premier League coverage that just started recently with commentators appearing on both channels. Very interested in seeing how they'll use the set with their graphics! 1
mouseboy33 101 Posted August 26, 2024 Posted August 26, 2024 I was thinking the same thing. Sky has very very very clean graphics. I will be interesting see. They are bring a decent studio team over from the UK and going to have a former correspondent return to be their "Steve Kornaki" analyst. It will be interesting to see an outside perspective. It seems that Sky and NBC are closer than they were sisters with Fox "News". 2

With this move WNJU and WNBC will be the final NBC Universal duopoly to share the same building. Now there still licensed in New Jersey so I’m sure due to FCC law they still have to maintain some physical presence.

If there a blackout next time both stations in the word of Gen Z would be cooked. I’m sure in that NJ bureau the studio is gonna be taken out so no broadcast capabilities I hope they planned this well for screwed up scenarios. I have more scenarios in the tube but I digress. I agree. The shared WNBC/WNJU newsroom is nice. Curious to see if WMAQ/WSNS can top it when they move to their new space later this year.

Curious to see if WMAQ/WSNS can top it when they move to their new space later this year. Anyone know where in 30 Rock this is? It has a lot of the exposed building supports and reminds me of the MSNBC 4th floor space (which they will be vacating at some point). It was hard to tell from their balcony area. The 3rd floor is full of studios (MSNBC, WNBC, WNJU, NBC News Now).... I would assume the floorspace at the Fletcher Ave. studios in Fort Lee will be reduced for the bureau (WNBC's NJ bureau has been there for years). The building included the original CNBC studios, America's Talking which became MSNBC prior to their moves to Secaucus (MSNBC) and Englewood Cliffs (CNBC). The Secaucus studio is now MLB Network but they will be moving in a few years as well, to Elmwood Park NJ. I'm assuming MSNBC ruled out the former Fort Lee T47 space, even temporarily after the spin off.

Should that happen again, they could use WCAU/WWSI in Philadelphia as backup if all else fails or keep cameras in the NJ Bureau just in case.
TheRolyPoly 2556 Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago With that, the last of the NBC/Telemundo building divides (in terms of main operations) has finally closed. NYC was the last market where the NBC (30 Rock) and Telemundo (Fort Lee, N.J.) stations were in separate places. 2
Breaking News 835 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago The old newsroom & the new newsroom at NBC4 & Telemundo47.
TheRolyPoly 2556 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago IMHO: WNBC and WABC's new newsrooms HAVE STEPPED UP THEIR GAME. It makes WCBS, WNYW, WPIX, and WXTV's newsrooms appear inferior by comparison (I'm not sure I've seen the newsrooms of either NY1 or News 12). To me, WNBC and WABC's newsrooms look like the future of television news and where its heading today... adapting to everything, including streaming.

Maybe WXTV will move to NYC from there Patterson, New Jersey studios.

And quick observation a little of topic I feel like all Univision stations are all in office buildings. Not standalone buildings.
