MidwestTV 1270 Posted December 23, 2022 Posted December 23, 2022 Unless this is unique to WMUR, Hearst appears to be updating its look. Less diagrid, more curves. 1
maddog363 23 Posted December 23, 2022 Posted December 23, 2022 I'm sure this has always been the case exclusively for WMUR 1
TSSZNews 1053 Posted December 23, 2022 Posted December 23, 2022 Yes, MUR needs to have something that's distinct from the main Hearst look used on WCVB so there isn't viewer confusion. Has been that way for 20+ years now. 2
GoldenShine9 1515 Posted December 23, 2022 Posted December 23, 2022 It has kind of a Gray feel to the package in some ways. 1 1
GodfreyGR 704 Posted December 23, 2022 Posted December 23, 2022 The WMUR update aside, Hearst's package is one that has aged incredibly gracefully over the years. 15 1

Has been that way for 20+ years now. WCVB and, to a lesser extent, WMTW and WPTZ/WNNE. Basically, it's the curse of a large chunk of New Hampshire being in Boston's shadow. If there was just a little more distance between Manchester and Boston -- say, ten or twenty miles -- things might be different. WNNE would still be an NBC affiliate, WNHT would still exist as a CBS affiliate, and WMUR would have the standard Hearst graphics package. 2
BluesNews 188 Posted December 30, 2022 Posted December 30, 2022 (edited) WESH would generally be the first to roll out new graphics, i.e. since the hub is there and historically, they have been the first. If new graphics do roll out eventually, it starts there. Edited December 30, 2022 by KentBrockman 5

noggi 605 Posted January 1, 2023 Posted January 1, 2023 They have their own promotions producers in each market. 4 1
H-Town TV Fan 224 Posted April 19, 2024 Posted April 19, 2024 Bumping this thread after almost 2 years, but one of the new Hearst-ers in WZVN got the WMUR Hearst package and Hearst Classic theme music today. 2 1
