Recently, WTEN got a new voice over, my first thought when I heard it was, is this AI?

Compared to Steve Kamer it just sounds so unnatural to me.

Not sure who the new VO is and this is the only major change I’ve noticed.

Nexstar is replacing their VOs across the whole group, opting for a cheaper agency of talent, and possibly even some AI voices, at some point.

Of all the cost-cutting, penny-pinching moves a company could do, this has to be up there with what radio stations have been able to get away with.

You can add WOOD to the list -- it sounds AI-ish even... NOW vs. Dec. 31

Nope! It's no longer Beau Weaver. Now it's Allan Peck.

Not not AI-ish, AL-ish.

The new voiceover on WOOD is not Allen Peck, but is Steve Davis. Nexstar is using talent from SpotVoice as replacements.

Thank you! That clarifies something then. WTEN is using Glenn Hansen, not Lonnie Perkins. They are no longer using Atlas.

I'm still a fan of Max McGill.
