  1. Changeover from KCAL News at 9pm to 10pm. You can see they are on the KCBS set.

  2. And WWJ-TV has gone all-in as "CBS Detroit" (h/t @DetroitTVNews)

  3. This is a bit old, but Westword wrote again about KDVR/KWGN departures. They basically transcribed some brief podcasts a reporter did last November describing her brief five years in TV news. She added a July 2022 update about waiting tables in Winter Park (she now works in marketing for the resort). "Devastating takedown" is not how I would describe it. Some people can handle the life and some people can't. https://www.westword.com/news/ex-fox31-reporter-aimee-lewiss-devastating-takedown-of-tv-news-14792007

  4. WCBS could take advantage of the changes on September 12th and broadcast the CBS2 News This Morning extension from 7am to 9am on WLNY. Like what the KDKA does at the WPCW.

  6. Several CNN promos from 1983, when the news was still the star:

  7. At least they'll have one original newscast on WLNY (somewhat) now that the news at 9 has gone to the network; In my opinion this is what should have been airing in place of "Live from the Couch" when that first debuted.

  10. The 4pm has been running since last Thursday from the State Fair (big deal up here!). Tuesday should originate from the studio. To make the case for CCO possibly not being the first, the stations are so preoccupied with their State Fair studios I wonder how much time they have to work on anything else over the 12 day run?

  11. At least there's not a newscast titled "What Sucks."

  12. Sara Shookman is on maternity leave. The station even covered the birth of her second child. I don’t think anyone’s getting pushed out here. Also, I don’t like WKYC’s format either, but it’s not like Dave Lougee and Tegna issued an edict that WKYC must change their newscasts. While Tegna management certainly encouraged this stuff, these moves were made entirely by local management.

  14. Why can't it just be 3 News at 5:00, just like its 6pm news?

  15. When it comes to CBS affiliates beyond the 14 O&O markets, the number of markets (excluding same-market satellites) owned or controlled by company: Gray - 55 Nexstar - 43 Sinclair - 23 Tegna - 15 Scripps - 11 Allen - 5 NP&G - 5 Morgan Murphy - 4 Others - 35 (none with more than three each) Can they really blackmail them that much?

  16. Just noticed that KSL in Salt Lake City, who delayed Days to 1:05 am, isn’t clearing NBC News Daily at all. They are replacing Hot Bench with Drew Barrymore in full, moving up Top Story an hour and putting a Dr. Phil encore after Top Story. https://ksltv.com/ksl-tv-program-guide/
