  1. Have you all read this article about ABC NEWS producer James Gordon Meek? If not, it's an interesting read: https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-features/fbi-raid-abc-news_producer-1234613619/

  3. Let me first remind you that WSHM-LD recently moved to WGGB's tower some weeks back. And its contour expanded as far south as northern Connecticut (close to Hartford). And with a larger height, it should be reachable for those southern areas you've mention. As for that WWAX-LD move to Hartford, that Circle diginet has not been cleared in that market. But that might not be the only reason they want to use this LP in Hartford. It'll be interesting to see what they'll do with it. With the Peacock & Weigel in the market, there's not much diginets to grab. ____________________________________ New Callsign for Channel 9 Freeport. It is NOT WIFR. It is WSLN. No word on when it'll light up its new full power signal. But the callsign (if approved) will go in effect on 10/26.

  4. Yes it’s an updated set and a better rendition of the Nexstar corporate/cookie cutter sets but the sad part is that it takes away the local elements of Denver that were used to design the previous set.

  5. Here's a look at the new set from their website: https://kdvr.com/on-air/on-fox31/new-set-studio-oct-2022/

  6. Damn. That looks awesome. Would easily make for the best set in the market if it comes to fruition.

  7. Having seen what they posted, I change my mind; it looks really good. Yes, it’s essentially the same corner set that most other Nexstar stations get, but this is one of the best executions of it. Maybe it’s the lighting, but they made that set look better than it does at other stations (see WFLA). As I said before, my main gripe isn’t the new set itself; it’s the fact that in the process of building it, they wasted a perfectly good existing set that was only 3 years old. I would’ve put those resources somewhere else.

  9. And I get the vibe ABC will rely on ABC News more rather than fully give up 10pm (they already produce a lot of summer/midseason filler for the network)

  11. That hour might end up with station owner-produced programming as well, instead of newscasts, on some stations, according to what executives are thinking.

  13. The creator of this thread has been inactive on these boards for over two years. Let's rename it.

  14. 1. Can we rename this thread? 2. Do we think Chris Licht and Discovery will unveil new graphics for CNN sometime soon? The current package has been around since August 2014 (Jeff Zucker took over January 2013), with the only real change being the font in April 2016 (and maybe some of the gradients?). I think it works but I would like to see something a little smaller, and where the main banner text doesn't have to keep getting squished to fit.

  15. The thing with DMAs is that Nielsen has basically stopped publishing rankings every year. The FCC is looking for a replacement metric as of now.

  16. Curious to see what Gray's plans for the station are.... Could Telemundo Cincinnati be in the future? Maybe even something related to 3.0. it's basically been a subchannel repository for the last decade or so after losing out on the CW to WKRC 12.2. Speaking of WKRP, when's the last time that show's been shown on TV? At least the DVD release restored a lot of the original music that was stripped from later TV airings.... And one last thing, my fellow babies....
