  1. Didn’t Rob used to anchor in the mornings before anchoring the 4:30pm? I think mornings he was replaced by Stefan is what was being referenced.
  2. Which would explain why Brian was off today.
  3. The morning has an updated open that just mentions Karen, Tamela, and Matt. Traffic last week was Jessica (M, F) and Matt (Tu, W, Th) and so far has followed the same pattern this week thru Thursday morning. Also, last week noon weather was handled by Brittney (M, F), Chris (Tu), Karen (W), and Adam (Th). So far Monday thru Wednesday of this week has followed the same pattern.
  4. Also wondering who will do weather at noon. David used to do weather at noon (M-Th with Friday off) but he also would first appear on air at 4:30am (not 4am - Karen handled the weather that first half hour). So far Britney did Monday (also 4pm too) and Chris did Tuesday. Honestly think they should give Adam the noon. Have him do noon, 4pm, 6pm, and Cecily 5pm (full hour), 10pm, 11pm. Gives Adam & Cecily equal air time, let’s Adam get home at a decent time to see his kids, and alleviates Karen from working 10 hour days.
  5. I don’t believe Tony is Greek.
  6. Plenty of stations have had 4pm newscasts, gotten rid of them, and brought them back years or decades later. Not sure why you’re doubting it could happen.
  7. Wonder what the plan is after he leaves. I see a few options: 1-Karen slides over to weather with Jessica Boyington taking over traffic. 2-Karen slides over to weather with Matt Pellman taking over traffic while continuing at 4pm and 5pm. 3-Karen slides over to weather with Matt Pellman taking over traffic while Jessica Boyington takes over afternoon traffic. Also, I feel this is a good time to rearrange weekday weather duties as mornings and noon is a long time for one person. Cecily-5pm (full hour), 10pm, 11pm Adam-12noon, 4pm, 6pm Karen (or David’s replacement)-mornings
  8. I must say while he does a good job out in the field reporting, he’s not that great at the anchor desk.
  9. I assume she’ll probably be filling in for Jim at 6 & 11.
  10. Nice to see Sarah subbing for Jim Monday at 6pm. The go-to’s are usually Rick, Brian, and Sharrie.
  11. KYW does this already and indeed seems pointless to have the same anchors on that entire time. I assume it’s Judge Judy’s replacement.
  12. Jeff Glor’s stardom had already climaxed when he was given the EN. They should’ve given him the position when Katie left, and not to Scott.
  13. Sarah on Sunday nights was only supposed to be for 1 month but turned into 9 years according to her instagram.
  14. Bill Ritter has come in on a weekend for breaking news. I’m sure Lee has popped in on a Saturday or Sunday too. I think the point others were trying to make was that in breaking news/weather events, anchors/meteorologists will come in on a scheduled day off (Lee was on vacation and appeared). It’s also possible that Sam may not have been able to fly out yesterday either.
  15. Interesting that Walter was on the past two Saturdays but off both Sundays. This past Sunday (yesterday), Nydia filled in and said “Walter & Sarah are off”. Also interesting is Nydia’s social media post indicates she was on vacation and got called back last night to fill-in for Sarah, who was supposed to be on last night but was feeling under the weather. So the mystery of whether Sarah is still on Sundays continues.
  16. Even though I hate Sinclair, I do think it makes sense for all the RSNs to be under one or two umbrellas.
  17. Interesting this morning: Tam is off and Matt is anchoring solo. Wondering if it was a last minute call off?
  18. No mention of Sarah being off tonight at the top of the 6pm newscast and her name was not mentioned in the closing. So she must officially be off of Sunday nights.
  19. Not a shoe in at all. But she did anchor with Gray two and three Saturdays ago. Wonder if it was an on-air tryout of some sort. She would definitely be my pick of those that have filled in. Worth noting, Saturdays have always been solo in morning and evening, while Sundays have the co-anchors. Here’s hoping they add them to Saturdays as those shows are just as long as Sundays.
  20. Worth noting Sharrie did say she was in for Sarah today. I assume either Sarah will stop anchoring Sundays this weekend or she will continue to do so until a replacement is named. It makes sense that she is transitioned from Su-Th to M-F soon. Poor Brian won’t have to anchor Noon Fridays alone anymore.
  21. Because GMA needs 2 weekday weather people? Or Sam wants to play second fiddle to Mike Woods? Doubt it. Either WABC is going to 5 weather people like most of the other O&Os (6in the case of WPVI), or one person’s leaving, and if it’s Sam, I doubt it’s for another job.
  22. Nydia was on this morning. Interesting that Rick or Sharrie didn’t sub, or even Brian. As for the 4pm, could it be possible that the spot is going to an outside person? Sarah has filled the spot every day she was on, with the exception of one week when Sharrie did the 4pm while Sarah was the feature anchor subbing for Alicia at 4pm/5pm. And Sharrie has done the majority of Fridays at 4pm. Unless they are still trying to figure out weekends, hence the holding pattern?
  23. Then you live in a delusional world. He’s on a channel that broadcasts conspiracy theories and baseless allegations. Have you seen his Twitter account? Some of his tweets are borderline controversial/racist. I was never a fan of his and believed he only got the job because his dad was police commissioner. But despite his following while he was on GDNY, his image is now tainted.
  24. I doubt they’ll put her on weekdays. She will probably get weekend mornings with either Jeff or Amy being bumped to weekdays. Could see the noon/4 person picking up Friday mornings and Lee picking up Friday 4pm. Or for all we know Sam may move to noon/4 (in which case the morning person Lee could split Fridays). Guess we’ll find out in a few weeks.
