  1. Uh oh... http://www.adweek.com/tvspy/wcau-accused-of-using-improper-credentials-during-popes-visit/156225 Honestly, with all the stuff that's been reported in the news as of late, I no longer feel sorry for these union workers.
  2. He was also weekend Nightly News anchor which I think more to do with his promotion.
  3. Have they filled the 4:30 slot yet? Just give it to Stefan already and give Alex mornings.
  4. CBS not selling here, especially to be downgraded to WSBK.
  5. I assume WHDH would get ABC. As for WMUR, maybe suffer the same fate as WMGM?
  6. I wonder if Hearst would be willing to swap WCVB to NBC for WVIT plus cash. They already have a close relationship.
  7. I wonder who will replace her at 11am & 5pm.
  8. Don't be fooled. Sam was a diva too.
  9. You know what's crazier, someone making up where they work. Why would someone make that up? It's crazy to say Tracy and Vai are disgruntled employees. It's crazy to say that Rosemary is more liked than Denise. You stated these things implying they were factual. Making stuff up about people is CRAZY. So don't act all surprised that I don't believe you're 55.
  10. I love kids as well. I never said anything about hating them. I'm not sure how you know Newshound is an adult from looking at his profile, other than the fact it says he's 55 (which could be made up!!!). His track record on telling the truth (he supposedly worked at NBC10) isn't exactly stellar. And asking the same questions over and over IS ANNOYING. Don't even get me started on your posts.
  11. This is true. But in Cynthia's case, she was used as the main gap filler until Irika was brought in after Shannon Hori left. I get bringing someone else in for the top job, but if you're going to use someone in that role (gap filler) for an extended period of time who's been a team player at the station, some type of a lesser promotion would have been a nice consolation (like having her co-anchor with Elliot at Noon and 6pm, or giving her mornings with the latest moves). WNBC situation is different because Shiba wasn't doing it at 11pm for the station, hence why they brought someone else in. She was not used as gap filler, but rather was demoted (or if you believe the other side of the story, she chose to switch up her hours because of family). Also, as much as I like Pat Battle, no way in hell she would ever get the top job at WNBC nor was she ever considered.
  12. Dude, you don't have to post your questions 50 million times! You're starting to sound like a little whining kid (which I have no doubt you are). You lied to everyone about who you really were (although there was no doubt in most of our minds). Then you private message people asking why no one wants to answer your questions or talk to you. Don't you have some school work to do? Or better yet, shouldn't you be in school right now? Stop being annoying! What do you say, can we #CountOnIt ???
  13. Seems to me like they're both leaving for the same reason. They both have been troopers and played along, but both were passed over (in Cynthia's case twice) for the top job. They could have easily given Cynthia noon and 6pm with Elliot (he's a bore to watch). Good luck to both of them!
  14. Walter anchored at 10pm on PHL 17, but Jim is on at 11pm on 6.
  15. To be completely accurate, he was anchoring continuing papal coverage on Channel 6, and at 10pm, that coverage began to be simulcast on PHL 17, at which point he welcomed the viewers joining them on PHL 17. So it's not like he came in just to anchor the 10pm. I'm sure he anchored the 11pm, which is probably a first as well.
  16. Monica Malpass is co-anchoring at noon with Rick today from the parkway studio. Interestingly, although not in studio but reporting, Sarah is working today (she usually has off on Fridays) covering the Pope's visit to NYC.
  17. Does anybody find it weird that this is a big news week with the Pope coming and Jim Rosenfield has been off so far this week? In the past he has been off randomly as well. For instance, one week he was off Mon., Wed., Thurs., and Fri., but worked on the Tuesday.
  18. According to dcrtv.com, it will be Longo & Foster at 11pm. Personally I think they should can the 7pm in favor of a 4pm.
  19. Great choice. I think Peter Alexander should get Saturday edition.
  20. Actually, he was on Sunday night. Natasha welcomed him back.
  21. Already mentioned.
  22. Right. And by years you mean the last 30. While CBS has made some great strides in the mornings and eveningsas of recent, they have a looooooong way to go to reach 2nd place.
  23. #ClassAct Hoping she lands somewhere better.
  24. I don't believe that that falls under OSHA's jurisdiction.
  25. Whose Scott Williams? (I'm being sarcastic). Honestly a great pickup by 29. 3 was foolish to let her go, and while I like Kate, I don't think she's ready to be chief yet. Scott never caught on for me, nor has Iain.
