  1. My suggestion was if Sarah gets the 4pm, that Monica do the 10pm. Her day would be no longer than Rick's or the average evening anchor's work day.
  2. If Sarah gets the 4pm she could only continue to report at 6pm, not 10pm or 11pm. She co-anchors the noon so that would make for long days. I don't like Brian solo at 10pm. It's an hour long and therefore I think he needs a co-anchor. I brought up Tamala because all the other female anchors have gotten a swing at it. If hard news is a factor, then I'd take Nydia and Alicia out of the running as they are too perky for that. My opinion only, but I think it's a toss up between Sharrie and Sarah, with an outside chance of Eva getting it. If it's Sarah, I think Monica gets the 10pm, and Sharrie or Eva get weekend evenings (or at least Sunday evenings). If it's Sharrie, all else stays same.
  3. It is indeed going to be David and Shirleen at noon, with Bill doing weather. They just introduced them at the end of the noon show.
  4. Not sure if he was chief from 1989, but Sam Champion was chief before Lee.
  5. My guess is David will take over for Ken at noon, and maybe Amy and Jeff will rotate weather duties.
  6. Rob & Wendy filled in for Jim & Melanie today at 4pm.
  7. I see Eva is co-anchoring the 10pm tonight as well. I believe Brian has soloed on the 10pm every other night since Shirleen left.
  8. So far filling the 4pm slot: Th 5/21: Sharrie Williams F 5/22: Sharrie Williams M 5/25: Sharrie Williams T 5/26: Nydia Han W 5/27: Nydia Han Th 5/28: Alicia Vitarelli F 5/29: Alicia Vitarelli M 6/1: Sarah Bloomquist T 6/2: Sarah Bloomquist W 6/3: Eva Pilgrim Looks like they are testing everyone out. I wonder if Tamala Edwards will get a chance. *Note: updated with today's info and correction.
  9. Not sure why she has to be at the anchor desk if it's her last day on the noon show. It's not like she's leaving WABC all together. And it's Glassberg, not Glassman.
  10. I believe he's been doing the 10pm solo everyday since Shirleen left. Nydia was on at 4pm again today.
  11. Nydia co-anchored at 4pm today.
  12. Sharrie was on at 4pm too. I think the previous poster was expressing his wishes for Erin to get the 4.
  13. And Brian went solo at 10pm, with a short open (no names).
  14. Looks like Sharrie Williams filled Shirleen's old spot today.
  15. They mentioned on the noon news, during the previews for 4pm news, that today is Shirleen's last day and that they will air a package of her stay here in Philly.
  16. NBC10 in Philly does 20 minutes of nonstop news at 4pm everyday. If I am not mistaken, it's a tight race at 4pm with 6ABC, so much that 6 scrapped their regular open for a short open so they can get to the news quicker.
  17. Or they could have done this if Diana leaves, and left Lori in her place, and hired no one! 4&6: David & Liz 5&11: Bill & Sade
  18. I never think it's a good idea to have a same sex pairing (male or female) on your main newscast.
  19. Is weekend TINY still anchored by Pat & Contessa, or is it now Pat & Gus?
  20. Another wild card in all of this is if "The F.A.B. Life" debuts at 2pm (or 3pm, swapping with GH), does Millionaire revert back to 12:30pm and shorten the noon news back to a half hour?
  21. If the sole reason for Shirleen's hire is because Diana wants to come off the anchor desk, then a more sensible and less-costly solution would have been: 4&6: David & Liz 5&11: Bill & Sade Also, if Shirleen is later moved to evenings, I almost feel like Lori will rightfully be pissed.
  22. Read the quote you quoted in your post and you'll get your answer.
  23. I wonder if you've read the previous posts. By the look of your last two posts, I think not.
  24. Or Dave and Diana. Seems like they are going to have an overbloaded cast of anchors.
  25. Reports over on the Philadelphia board and on Twitter and Facebook that Action News 4pm/10pm anchor Shirleen Allicot moving from WPVI to WABC.
