Color me shocked. Many of their moves over the last few years have been in set up for a possible sale.
Honestly, this is a prime property for Cox or CBS to snatch up...
CBS, Meredith, or Graham yes, but God please no Sinclair or Nexstar...

former WAGA morning anchor Gurvir Dhindsa is joining WGCL to be their new morning anchor.

Excellent hire in my opinion.
His story seems so salacious Gurvir will sit next to Davis on the morning news ; which Gurvir replaced Davis when Davis moved to the evening news. That was 20 years ago.

From FTVLIVE.com TEGNA stock price is dropping and it ripe to be sold. With TEGNA being heavy with NBC affiliates, but who would grab TEGNA? If it could be divided up between Hearst, Graham and maybe Gray (just my speculation)

Look at the ratings and you'll see why he's still solo at 6 and 11pm. Action News just blows out of the water.
I've seen ratings, and there been times where NBC10 has trump them, so if they added a co-anchor the ratings would go south?

So someone answer me this. Jim Gardner been the face of Action News for over four decades. If and when Gardner retires will the 6/11pm news have the traditional male/female anchor? Does Gardner like being a solo act vs having a female sitting next time him? Always wonder how the 6/11PM newscast hasn't been integrated with a co-anchor.

WRAL and WRAZ have been taken off the air on AT&T U-Verse due to a retrans dispute. This has been happening since 5:04 pm Eastern yesterday.

WBNS & WTHR is going through the same thing as well since Sept 6.

could this mean the end of the view and/or general hospital?
Not this season The View will be back and GH is not in danger of cancellation, and Rebecca Campbell has 99 problems on the daytime division is not one of them at the moment.

Really would have rather seen Steve Rudin or Veronica Johnson get the big promotion to take over for Doug Hill.
I agree! However, Mitch Jacob the news director who worked at WSYX is now at WJLA. How many on-air talents on WJLA do they have at the current?
-
You don't move Ellen.
WKYC seems to never want a 5pm newscast, but talk shows have always been in place at that hour. In the 90s, Montel Williams, Jerry Springer have always been their bench mark.

Changes from one Sinclair station to another. Bill Kelly the Chief Meteorologist at WSYX/ABC 6 On Your Side in Columbus, OH moves to become Chief Meteorologist at WJLA/ABC 7 in D.C.
Many folks have left WSYX, and the beat continues.....

I like the show. I dislike Brian Williams. I'd much prefer someone like Katy Tur.Eh not sure which I'd prefer, Brian Williams taking forever to make a point or Katy Tur fumbling over every other word. Love them both, but can't stand a full hour of either.
Katy Tur seems like a nice girl to hang out with. I'm sure she hangs out with Kassie Hunt and Hallie Jackson, but the difference between those gals is Katy, can't read a teleprompter, but she's a good reporter.

BIG anchor shakeup at 11Alive in Atlanta. Shiba Russell goes from evenings back to mornings. Current morning anchor Cheryl Preheim takes her spot on the 5 and 6 and Vinnie Politan anchors the 11 solo. Seems a little ... odd. Shiba hasn't even been on the evening shows a year yet. They announced it on air this morning.
Stupid move on 11Alive this is where CBS46 should go ahead and move that needle to third place and move 11ALIVE to 4th place.

Isn't KJRH's new news director and some EP from KOTV? If so, then it's pretty clear what's happening here. New management is being petty and spiteful against KOTV and is trying to hurt them. I don't know if these recent decisions are so much of an attempt to help KJRH as it is an attempt to hurt KOTV.
You sure it not just competition? Many anchors, ep and management do all jump to the competition to do the same job.

Today, KJRH announced its' new morning team, comprised of 2 KOTV vets. Former anchor Scott Thompson and recent hire Lisa Jones, returning to TV after 16 years.

http://www.politico.com/blogs/on-media/2017/07/27/kasie-hunt-msnbc-show-241041
Politico reports Kasie Hunt is in talks for the 6-8pm ET slot on Sunday nights, a similar slot to that filled by Ari Melber before moving to 6pm ET weekdays this past Monday. If true (It is, Politico has had a number of scoops on MSNBC shake up) it makes you wonder where will Thomas Roberts go. They said he'd get the weekend evenings, including the 8pm ET hour, but that was over a month ago.
Sounds like they want Thomas to go, because everybody getting an opening except him.
