    Effectively succeeding KRON’s 8 and 9pm newscasts, when they sign on with The CW. Interesting there’s no 10pm. I guess CBS is going to continue with Now News after all?

    Longtime KDFW traffic reporter Chip Waggoner is going off the air for the rest of the year because he was employed by a traffic agency and has decided to leave that company to join Fox full-time. He’ll return in early 2024, when he is an official Fox employee.

    KDFW ran Fox’s Name That Tune today at 12:30. The rerun was half of an episode that aired in primetime. I wonder if Fox is testing NTT for a possible half-hour strip.

    Their new afternoon schedule is: 2pm - Drew Barrymore (both halves, since that show is keeping the half-hour format) 3pm - LMAD 4pm - News

    Ever since Rob Hughes left for WLS, it’s been Lana solo at 4:30am, Don Shipman and Lana at 5am & 8am, and Brooks & Gurvir from 6-8am and 9am.
