Shirleen returned today as expected.
David presented her with flowers and a coffee card.
Which means Rob & Michelle may be back this coming weekend or next. They ran promos for Shirleen's return.
Unrelated: Did anyone get a peek at the November book for any of the stations?

News 12 Hudson Valley/Westchester.
Okay.. Makes sense. Is she a full-time or freelance Westchester-Hudson Valley reporter.
-
PIX just picked up a new reporter: Rebecca Solomon. Unsure which station she came from before going to PIX.

Yes, and yes, though I'd hardly say KTRK and KGO have much in common.
That is a copy. Cuz, as I was watching their morning news segments I'm like to my head I know I've seen those graphics from KGO & KABC. (Although KABC has smaller graphics) which falls in line of KTRK and KGO..
Glad that I got Fox26 Houston right as an O&O.
I'm not 100% sure if CBS and NBC have O&O's in Houston?
-
Took a quick flight to Houston over the weekend... (Just my observations) Anyone can shoot and give opinions.
First off is ABC13- Houston is a O&O... If it is, they have similar graphics as KGO and somewhat a similar studio set up like KGO.
2nd: Fox26- Houston, is that also an O&O? Also, graphics are alike the other Fox O&O's and studio look like WNYW..

So... Out in Atlanta lets just say that blurred lines don't fair too well. This particular journalist has had problems in her past.
However, she really stooped to an all time low and the station had the nerve to re-tweet it. I'm no New England Fan, but you (Shon Gables) all the way in Atlanta trying to incite a real problem. Tom Brady didn't call Ed Reed the N word... Ed Reed was at the game on Sunday night and Baltimore gave New England their first loss in a semi-blowout 37-20, but what really shocked me (NOT) was the Gables tweet stating that Brady called Reed the N-word..
Mind you: Yes, Reed and Brady faced each other and New England has had problems with Baltimore in the past. However, it doesn't give you a right to say something outright nasty. Reed is a hall of famer, Brady is a shoe-in for the hall of fame. I'm glad that Ed Reed and his reps responded to the tweet. Shame on CBS46 Atlanta, and Shon Gables.. I wasn't really a fan of hers when she came to WCBSTV and CBS News. So for her to stoop that low is no surprise to me..

This is the way It did look: (Before Monica left in May)
Noon: Rick Williams and Sarah Bloomquist
4 pm: Brian Taff, Shari Williams; Alicia Viterelli features anchor
5 pm: Rick Williams, (Monica Malpass)
10 pm PHL17: Brian Taff, Shari WilliamsNovember Anchor line up: The one on top was the anchor line up before May..
QuoteAnd this seems to be the lineup the station is going with now:
Noon: Sarah Bloomquist and Brian Taff
4 pm: Brian Taff and Jeanette Reyes; Sarah Bloomquist features anchor
5 pm: Rick Williams and Shari Williams; Alicia Viterelli features anchor
10 pm on PHL17: Rich Williams and Shari WilliamsSource: FTV Live.
Make your own assumptions to what happens during this version of the November sweeps and what additional changes need to be made..

Andrew's been with WFSB for the last year or so.
Loud and Clear.. Is he still doing ESPN New York tonight? If so, that New Haven- Hartford commute to Manhattan can be pretty harsh.

Noticed something last night during the 6PM Newscast. Andrew Brill from ESPN Radio New York- Host of ESPN New York Tonight covered for Sam Ryan. His story is very interesting. I'm probably 24 1/2 months late with this. However, good to see a face from ESPN Radio on WABCTV.

So we’re about a month and a half in with the Kerry Drew/Bianca Peters pairing. What’s your opinion of them? Personally I don’t like Bianca Peters. She flubs a lot of pronunciations especially of NY cities and landmarks (She couldn’t pronounce Ronkonkoma or De Blasio correctly) and I don’t like the chemistry between the two compared to Antwan/Teresa, Ben/Juliet, and Suki/Jenn.
30 days isn't enough to get a full evaluation of Kerry and Bianca. It's going to take time like all other pairings. Me personally Good Day Wake up has been a disgrace ever since Antwan & Teresa (now both on field reporters) and Suki brought it back to life briefly with Jenn. I wonder how Jenn is doing in LA?
However, all I'm saying is this. Give it time and if things don't change than I see another change.. But honestly, Raegan Medgie should of been the one in the chair with Kerry. To me they both work pretty well, and Raegan has been with WNYW for a while so I'm a bit confused is to why they went outside and clearly someone inside is a bit more qualified.

I wish Xfinity would put the ESPN channels all together. It baffles me how spread apart all of the sister networks are on their lineup.
It took FIOS a while to group all the ESPN channels together. Glad they are doing that with ESPN ACCN. ESPN SEC was another issue for a while till they fixed that on FIOS. Hopefully, Xfinity and the other operators follow suit.. Thank God no Xfinity and Comcast in New York City and RCN is restricted to Manhattan and parts of Queens + Brooklyn only.
-
ESPN ACCN is getting a channel change through Verizon FIOS... On or after 12/7/19- Which is the ACC Football Championship game new channel will be 571 (HD), and 71 (SD) from previous channel 829(HD) thus moving the goal line channel to 829 from 71 (SD) and 571 (HD). This here makes total sense. Now most of the ESPN channels are on one block! Now if we can get ESPN+ on cable instead of being streaming only...

Charges dropped in the Dray Clark case as of Wednesday 10/30/19..
Reported first by: Philadelphia Inquirer..
Something tells me that he will re-surface back to the New York City area once things officially die down...

NEWS 12 UPDATE: AS OF 11/1/19- THIS FRIDAY:

The new ticker has shown up during NHL and NASCAR coverage. Its a variation of the new SNF ticker.
Yes, that is correct. NBCSN is doing a good job with these new graphics.
However, what's very bad is NBC Sports Philadelphia is completely bascura with their ticker.. SMH.

I may be a little late with this but NBCSN updated some of their graphics for Premier League. Saw some updates this past weekend including the Sports ticker.

I love these words! Totally agree!!!Thank You.. WABC-TV is the #1 station for a reason. Why break up the current anchor pairings for new ones. All the fill-ins are doing a great job even the ones you normally don't see like Lauren Glassburg, Candice McCovan, Mike Marza and Danelle Leigh just to name a few of the fill-ins.
-
Let me throw my 2 cents in here right quick: It takes a dedicated news anchor team to work weekday mornings and weekend mornings. For some of you guys that are bickering about Michelle working mornings and Shirleen working PM's right now is not going to happen. Are they both great journalists (YES), and they both have a cult following. So I say this, sometimes things work out the way they are and what is not broken doesn't need to be fixed. Let's just enjoy the moments for now until both anchors return to their regularly scheduled slots.

With more stations debuting CBSN operations next year, and many of those flat, blue and black elements already creeping into OTA newscasts, one would think so. Whether or not the main broadcasts adopt the exact same package as the streaming service is yet to be seen, but the color scheme and common elements will definitely bridge any gap.
Affirmative on that. @24994J
I will pay attention to this when I watch the main broadcasts in the AM on CBS New York if they are using the same graphics package as CBSN New York.
I would think that CBSN Boston and CBSN LAX are using the same graphics package as CBSN New York.
It appears that CBSN Bay area should be next for December debut and all others within the 3-6 month span of 2020.

Congrats to him. He's a true professional in this business and in the tri-state area. To make the jump from one good station to the next in the same market is no easy fate and to work with the greats like Gabe Pressman, Chuck Scarborough and others that's a honor well deserved.
