Word is that WVIT debut the graphics today too. Chyron posted a picture on their facebook page.

Yes, they did...

I don't recall what they had before, but they are now using a reorchestrated version of the WNBC theme.

By the sound of things, they're using a combination of cuts from older parts of the NBC Collection in addition to the newer ones.

I was wondering if some changes are in store: the 11pm weeknight open is using a different cut of NBC Stations - without the "Working for You" theme and a stretched (4x3 -> 16x9) short open. Plus they've been running some different L3s during the Decision 2012 packages (albeit using Arial Bold). Now a new desk... Haven't checked out any other day parts, as I'm at work at the time...

No more "Working for You" signature? Say it ain't so!

Speaking of WRC, it looks like they are next to getting the new graphics. Right now only the weather graphics have changed this morning.

UPDATE: As of 11:00 a.m. this morning, WRC launched the new ArtWorks graphics package. They teased the new graphics this morning with mostly the weather graphics. The music open is a return to the NBC Collection with Working for You signature first used in 2008 before the HD launch with the open music that was used on KXAS and KNSD. The launch this morning during their midday newscast is the same way that they launched in high defintion in April 2010.

So let's run the tally, shall we? Keep in mind I'm just assuming the letter designations for everything but Look G, because people keep referring to the KNSD graphics as Look G when that's apparently the designation for KXAS' graphics.

LOOK E (Block logo look)

KNSD

LOOK F (Blue/White peacock)

KNTV

KNBC (modified with yellow accents; no serif font)

WVIT

WRC

LOOK G (peacock colored bars)

KXAS

STILL WAITING:

WNBC

WMAQ

WCAU

WTVJ

The first three on that last list look to be leaning Look F; I have no idea what TVJ will do, as they're still using block promo elements.

Hulkie, noone knows what WTVJ is doing? I could dare e-mail them. They also made a lot of modifications to Look C and considering how they were the last to get Look C due to the whole we are on sale thing, I think they might just keep it for now. The set is over 11 years old and there is really nowhere they can even do a temp. newscast at this point with Telemundo using the other studio space that WTVJ currently has. They put up a new duratran last year but that was really the only thing they did. I guess move the newscasts to the newsroom (which the set opens up too) and then try to get something with the new look whichever way they go. I would probably say if I was a betting man it would probably steer more to the Look E but I might just say they keep C2 through 2012.

Updated tally:

LOOK E (Block logo look)

KNSD

LOOK F (Blue/White peacock)

KNTV

KNBC (modified with yellow accents; no serif font)

WVIT

WRC

LOOK F IF YOU KINDA SQUINT AND TURN YOUR HEAD LIKE THIS:

WCAU

LOOK G (peacock colored bars)

KXAS

STILL WAITING:

WNBC

WMAQ

WTVJ

I could see WTVJ doing another WCAU-style modification of the Look F opens since 'TVJ took a page of 10's book when they got Look C and modified that GFX left and right.

Oh and kudos to WRC in The District on keeping their Working 4 You sig on the music while adapting Look F.
