I heard Steve Kamer do a custom promo for ABC 7 for today's Inside Edition featuring a story from Oak Lawn. Does he usually do that?

It would require a pre-planned (not new/breaking), Chicago-focused story for that to happen, so if he does it, it's very rare. I can't say I've ever seen it.

WGN did the same thing with mostly b team anchors, however I was shocked to see Jerry. Ron Magers used to always work Christmas so the younger anchors could spend it with their families and young kids

They really stretched the use of the old studio, especially with a relatively stationary anchor, though they even made up some stand-ups for his final Thanksgiving in 2015. He was like the first anchor to stand in the new weather center for the toss, and he stood in front of the desk with Jerry and Jim in the anchor chairs to close the show.

According to Stacey and Diane's facebook pages, it seems like it's their last weekend together. Next week Stacey is on Vacation and Diane and someone else will fill in. My 4 picks with Diane are, Liz Nagy, Hosea, Tanja or Terrell. Then the following weekend, Mark Rivera starts anchoring weekend mornings with Stacey.
