Did Channel 6 already give up on that new radar they installed last year near Lancaster? Nobody has mentioned it in a long while on the newscasts.

I don't think so.  WGAL uses that same radar, which is located on the Millersville Univ. campus.

WGAL still on occasion airs their Live Local 8 radar promo (brand that replaced Live Super Doppler 8 Radar Network) from time to time.

They made their point and don’t keep mentioning it perhaps? If it has reason to come up in a weather segment sure, maybe it’s worked in occasionally. But they ran a fairly extensive promo campaign for it and made mention multiple times in those segments. Maybe it’s just time to stop emphasizing it.

I think I heard Adam Joseph mention it recently, something like "This was captured by our Lancaster radar"

And he just referenced it in passing at 4:30 because in this case, it was applicable to the snow moving through. Just not something they need to emphasize as hard as they did initially.

They're still mentioning it every time they can. Especially Brittany & Peyton.

This most recent storm was an example of when it makes sense to work it in. Plenty  of days it won’t be relevant.

Think that would be three in a row.

last week was a tiny visual cameo, but the first was a clip with voice.

Since the start of this week, WPVI is showing Good Morning America First Look at 4 am. Action News now doesn't start until 4:30 am. The only Philadelphia station live at 4 am is Fox 29.

6abc is using a mix of old and new graphics for the Eagles parade. The clock is from the old package and the lower third is new (not the usual one used for newscasts).

They also appear to have dumped the Sunday noon news.

If that’s true, I’m kinda surprised it lasted as long as it did.

Yeah, I went to college in the Lehigh Valley in the early 2000s and that newscast existed back then.
