Frances Wang announced that she will be moving on from NBC 10. Her last day is on Monday.

She began as weekend morning anchor and recently ascended to weekend evening anchor. I enjoyed watching her and am sorry to see her go. Wishing her the best in whatever she chooses to do next!

Wow, sad to see her go. She doesn't say she's going to leave news altogether although it wouldn't surprise me if she did ultimately do that. I remember following her social media in 2020 and she was just such a dynamic presence during the lockdowns.

I recall she was part of the wave of new hires in that sort of post-COVID late-21/early-22 era (including Johnny, Leah, Brian, Frances, Karen, maybe others?) and now she's following Leah and Karen right out. Selfishly hoping she can stick around in news but wishing her the best wherever she's headed.

I know that the morning news was cut to 2 hours some time ago, and I happen to catch the 11am show today, and both Keith and Erin were anchoring. Are they the regular anchors at that time now, and if so, I wonder if the cut to the morning news was done for that purpose?

Johnny Archer had been doing the 11AM weekday news recently, but he did the weekend evening news after Frances Wang left.  I don't know if Keith & Erin will continue with the 11 AM.

Here's the web article. This will be a HUGE loss for WCAU. Tracy has been a real cornerstone for the station through the many changes, via anchors and otherwise.

Jacqueline London (who I still remember from WKMG-TV Orlando very very well) hinted as saying November, so more likely before Thanksgiving that she'll be gone from WCAU.

Probably on the last day of sweeps, that's usually how those things go.

I don't know when this happened, but Philly Live is now a full half-hour, starting at 11:30 AM rather than 11:45. Most of the NBC O&Os had already been doing this, but 10 was one of the few that had a 15-minute lifestyle show.

I've noticed that for a few weeks now, but I think it only starts at 11:30 on Fridays.  Monday through Thursday is still 11:45.

Oh, that makes sense, thanks. Normally I'm not watching it anyway, but I happened to today. Although, either way, it's still relatively recent.

Pretty sure we’ve heard that one before in town. 😀

That was Coverage You Can Count on. Big big difference! 😂

I never understood local news slogans. Years ago, I believe the Orlando CBS affiliate was “Where the news comes first”. Why wouldn’t it?

The only one that ever made sense was “Give us 22 minutes, we’ll give you the world”. KYW 1060

That was WESH 2-NBC. WKMG was your Problem Solvers station at one point. WFTV gave you (and still gives you) Coverage You Can Count On.

The slogan was created in the 50s, so that may have applied better in an age where different formats were tried (weather, maybe a community service discussion, then the news), and of course you had sponsor segments before the news that took up several minutes.

Now it certainly feels unsurprising that 'the news comes first', but we're talking about an industry that is just finally dispensing with "Eyewitness News" from the 60s. The news is fast, but slogans and ways of doing things can remain the same forever when nobody wants to shake it up in fear of screwing things up.

Looks like they found Tracy’s replacement.

Does anybody know what the new anchor or weather lineup is? I feel every time I tune in there is a different weather person handling evening duties. Also, I often see the A-Team anchoring on Sundays, Johnny Archer occasionally on the weekends, and another female anchor on Friday nights.
