I''ve noticed that Tom Lewis has been putting himself on the air.  Prior to his stint as News Director at WMBB, he spent 13 years at WJHG as their primary anchor, and even doubled as the News Director for about 5 years (from 2005-2010).  He also was a longtime morning show co-host on WPAP radio.

And prior to his time at WJHG, he anchored at......WMBB.

Could history repeat itself again?

As it appears, yes.  Tom Lewis is anchoring the evening newscasts with Amy Hoyt.  AGAIN.

Tom and Amy anchored the news together from 1994 to around 2001.  Amy Hoyt began her career at WJHG in the 70s and switched to WMBB in 1994, and has been there ever since.

I don't know if any market has ever seen as much crossing the street (or the Hathaway Bridge) as Panama City.  There are lots of on-air personalities who have worked at both stations, multiple times.  I'm sure on-air contracts and non-compete clauses are more prevalent these days, but it still happens to this day.

Sorry to be the breaker of unfortunate news. Jon Chrisos has left WGME CBS 13 after 10 years with the station. Best continued success to him and his family on his next adventure whether in journalism or another career profession. He was truly respected, kind, and well-liked by both WGME and everyone who got to speak with him and saw him in Maine, and all Mainers. He made several positive and effective impacts in Maine. God Bless Jon Chrisos, Amen.  https://wgme.com/news/local/after-10-years-jon-chrisos-says-goodbye-to-wgme

In Denver. Michelle Griego has returned to KCNC as morning anchor  of today. She replaces Britt Moreno who went to KXAN in Austin.  Also, it was announced that Ashley Ryan would be replacing Meagan O'Halloran  who left KDVR to join Sinclair's The National Desk.  Ashley was also supposed to have her first day today on air at KDVR  but when I tuned in this morning Shaul Turner was Anchoring with Kirk Yuhnke. I'm not sure  if something ended up getting delayed or perhaps maybe Ashley is going to start with the  11 am newscast. Ashley came from KOTV in Tulsa, OK.

It looks like Gray Television is now mandating the COVID-19 vaccine for all employees, not just the new hires. They have a September 15 deadline for managers and October 1 for everyone else.

New Anchor at KVLY-Fargo- Tom Tucker is being brought in from KESQ/Palm Springs. Current anchor Mike Morken is reducing his workload to just the 6:00 show. This part of the bio suggests he won't be here long...

"He has worked for several ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox television news affiliates in several markets around the country"

If it helps, he doesn't have the mustache...

I'm not sure if anyone mentioned this but Chris Nestman is back on the Charleston area airwaves as the morning meteorologist at his old station after spending a few years at KTUL.

Rachel Tiede is the new weeknight anchor at WNYT, doing the 9pm (on WNYA) and 11pm shows. She'll also do investigative and breaking news reporting. Her tweet teases that she could do some forecasting as well, as she's completing her BS in meteorology at Mississippi State.

Meta question… the banner at the top of this thread has said it’s about to become “coming and goings” for like two years now.

Is that ever going to happen?

Just heard former WJZY Good Day Charlotte anchor Morgan Norwood on WSOC reporting about Hurricane Ida. She is now a correspondent for ABC News. Not sure how long she has been in that position. You might remember she was let go after only a month or so from WJZY back in the winter for accidentally letting off an F bomb. Good to see her back on her feet.

Didn't Morgan used to work for WTVD ABC 11?
