Looks like they’ll have Scott Russell (normally the prime time host, IIRC) hosting during the midday/afternoon hours. That makes a lot of sense, given the 6 hour time difference.
Georgie56 3318 Posted May 8, 2024 Author Posted May 8, 2024 Steve Kornacki and Willie Geist will be a part of NBC’s coverage. As will Golf Channel’s Kira Dixon and WCVB’s Naoko Funayama.

I'm just pointing this out here.

Turns out, no.
JTT 113 Posted May 9, 2024 Posted May 9, 2024 Why does the article say that wcvb is an NBC affiliate when it's an ABC affiliate?

It's a win-win situation.... WCVB has someone in Paris covering the Olympics on NBC's dime and NBC adds an experienced Olympics reporter to the roaster. 1 hour ago, JTT said: Why does the article say that wcvb is an NBC affiliate when it's an ABC affiliate? A simple mistake...
Georgie56 3318 Posted June 28, 2024 Author Posted June 28, 2024 NBC has released their list of 150 commentators.
Mrknowitall526 116 Posted August 9, 2024 Posted August 9, 2024 Does anyone have any links to NBC's new cuts of the Olympic theme song that they are using during Primetime in Paris? 1

TheRolyPoly 2551 Posted August 10, 2024 Posted August 10, 2024 For those wondering, this is when coverage will end across the NBCUniversal networks (this is according to various TV listings websites)... NBC's final day: Sunday from 7:00am-2:30pm for the final full day of coverage, 2:30-6:00pm for the closing ceremonies (LIVE), 7:00-10:00pm for the ceremony (repeat), 10:00pm for an hour-long special previewing L.A. 2028. Telemundo's final day: Sunday from 7:00am-1:00pm for the final full day of coverage, and 2:30-6:00pm for the closing ceremonies (LIVE). They've also done a nightly two-hour best-of look from Midnight to 2:00am and it'll be there as well. Universo's coverage is already wrapped up as they'll have no coverage at all this weekend so that network is done for these games. USA stops their 24-hour coverage: Sunday at 5:30pm, before NBC on NASCAR coverage from Richmond Motor Speedway. USA's normal entertainment programming doesn't resume until at least 9:30pm on Sunday. CNBC and E!'s final day: Saturday from 4:00am-6:00pm. There will be no Sunday coverage for either of the networks. Golf Channel's final day: Saturday from 3:00am-1:00pm + repeat from 9:00pm-3:00am as the Golf portion of the games wraps up. There will be no new Sunday coverage outside of repeat from Saturday. 1

I did read an article about them having done the remixes, but I can't find any links to the actual music anywhere. It's catchy.
NYAZSporty 141 Posted August 10, 2024 Posted August 10, 2024 I like that at least here in Phoenix, KPNX, who usually puts a TOH ID on the bottom of the screen (sometimes also coming out of local breaks), are flexible & put it around when Gold medal events wrap up, saw it last night after the Women's 4x100 relay which was shown at 10, they waited until 10:04 after the race to put it up & today during the Women's football final putting it five minutes early at 9:55 so as not to get in the way of the moments of euphoria afterwards.
panewswatcher69 29 Posted August 10, 2024 Posted August 10, 2024 Which broadcast is the 2024 NBC Paris Olympics closing credits montage planned for? Past NBC Olympics have had the closing credit montage in the last broadcast block before the closing ceremony block.
Chicago2008 22 Posted August 29, 2024 Posted August 29, 2024 Looks like these Olympic games gave NBC gave big ratings boost https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/2024-olympics-final-tv-ratings-nbcuniversal-1235972438/ 1
