nicksair 63 Posted May 1, 2018 Posted May 1, 2018 EDIT: It's Aircraft as I predicted. Disc 1 - Title: The Motivating Factor http://portal.aircraftmusiclibrary.com/main/?searchtext=volume[=ACL001]&0 If you were talking about the open, I'm 99.9% sure that's an Aircraft Production library track.... most likely found somewhere in the first 10 discs - And upon listening to the rest of the tracks, i found a theme WAVE-TV used in '87 for their Midday News. Its the ACL001 Jet Stream Album. And the Track is called "Sundays Heros" 2
onthesea 292 Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 WUSA's 9am news opener from Monday, September 17, 2001. IIRC, during those years the station lost most of its audience to a fast-growing WJLA (who hired both Mo and Gordon). 1
onthesea 292 Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 Canal 13's opener of its 1pm newscast, taped in 2005. Back then the broadcast focused on "news for the people" and "news you can use", and still had an important reputation because of its consumer segments and analysis. 1

10Viewer 338 Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 KXTV 1997 (?) bumper. Definitely a Gari signature, but does that mean TIYN began in '97? Confirmed this is from 1997, so the NMSA must be off or their '96 theme was from Gari
Samantha 2898 Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 KXTV 1997 (?) bumper. Definitely a Gari signature, but does that mean TIYN began in '97? Confirmed this is from 1997, so the NMSA must be off or their '96 theme was from Gari It sounds like the 96 theme a little bit, honestly... We really need more KXTV from this period. 1
Breaking News 835 Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 WTLV 1990's promo is this when Donna was with Dan before getting w/ Tim and the hole sordid story.
Info Junkie 1286 Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 It sounds like the 96 theme a little bit, honestly... We really need more KXTV from this period. Go to 3:06 for a news promo with a similar package being used. 2
hmaxhanson 650 Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 KXJB's 10pm news from August 6, 1991 (my dad's 18th birthday!). At around 11 minutes is a story on the death of Harry Reasoner: 1

hmaxhanson 650 Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 That curtain backdrop for the talent... What were they thinking? It was replace with this simpiler open when they got a new sportscaster: 3
10Viewer 338 Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 KXTV from 1995 when they were still with CBS. Their slogan at the time: "It's all about people" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=CaC-W2NXQBQ;t=47
dman748 1256 Posted May 4, 2018 Posted May 4, 2018 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=Z1LXiEfb6-8;t=377 Back when KOKH was using the controversial Sinclair News Central format 1

Georgie56 3318 Posted May 4, 2018 Posted May 4, 2018 WUSA’s version of the 1990 CBS “Get Ready” diner campaign, starring The Temptations: 1
ChesapeakeTV 312 Posted May 4, 2018 Posted May 4, 2018 KXTV 1997 (?) bumper. Definitely a Gari signature, but does that mean TIYN began in '97? Confirmed this is from 1997, so the NMSA must be off or their '96 theme was from Gari It sounds like the 96 theme a little bit, honestly... We really need more KXTV from this period. To add on to this...that theme appears in TIYN (and Image), but not with that logo. What it does match perfectly is the '96 theme's logo... 4
