WTXF Fox Philadelphia Ten O'Clock News/WPVI 6 Action News at 11:00 clips (November 10, 1999)

From Columbus, it's a WTVN-TV "Action News" cut in with Earl Green from 1978, with a "Bringing It Home to You" ID. News open at 1:59:10. Fun fact: WTVN was using automated cameras at the time.

Cue it to the 1:48 mark - A partial news open from KOA-TV Denver (now KCNC). You'll see how the opening animation looks quite similar to the open from former sister station WNGE Nashville (now WKRN), see that of course both were owned by General Electric Broadcasting at the time. One difference though, the aerial shot of the Denver skyline before the iconic cash register building went up, as well as other big tall skyscrapers

New from Cyle Dickens from KWQC, some mid-80's motion graphics to a nice period beat from a BPME videomag.

BPME? What are you talking about?

With all due respect, sometimes it can be a bit difficult to follow along with your posts. They come off as too heavy with "inside baseball" shorthand and in attempts to use clever and even snarky wordplay.

I would respectfully recommend using just plain ol' English. We'll still get the gist of what you're saying.

This could've been a private message. The initialism is explained in the video and everyone else here keeps the video subject matter to a minimum because it's more exciting to see what's going on.

If you don't like my posts, simply ignore them. No need to call me out for being vague when everyone has a certain style in this fun thread; this isn't Twitter or a competitive Reddit, and I refuse to tamp myself or my writing style down to meet a certain robotic 'standard' of posting.

(mods feel free to remove this if it's distracting)

Question.. how is this thread not considered a list and is allowed? All of these can be searched and found on YouTube if you're looking for newscasts back in the day. Why keep posting them here?

It's a grandfathered in list thread, and serves as a convenient aggregate page since the algorithms of YouTube and other sites have made it harder to find this kind of stuff.
