The patriotic tinted peacock bug was still used. NBC News American 587 crash coverage (2001). In similar fashion to 911, Matt and Katie are reporting on an American Airlines crash in New York City that occurred during the Today Show. One can only imagine how re-traumatizing that entire incident was, yet a lot of people my age had no idea this even happened.
