Alicia is in for Rick and Sarah again today. Hope all is okay with Sarah. Poor Alicia pulling overtime as she was in for both Sharie and Monica too yesterday.
-
Watching Action News at Noon. The show started off with Sarah Bloomquist anchoring solo. I looked away for a few seconds and when I looked back Sarah was MIA and Alicia Vitarelli was anchoring. Wonder what happened and if all is okay.
-
I assume they will take the traditional male/female route. History seems to say so. When Rob Jennings retired from weekend evenings (where he also went solo) he was replaced by an anchor pair (only on Sundays though). At WABC, I don't remember if Bill Beutel added Diana at 6pm before his retirement or if she and Bill Ritter were his replacements.
-
No. He came from CBS3.
-
Dray used to be at CBS3 before going to ABC7 in NY. Wasn't a fan of him when he was here before. Wonder where Steve fits into the weather lineup?
-
Not sure. But they are not the first to do this. WABC debuted this two years ago.
-
WPVI has quietly debuted Action News at 5pm on Sundays, anchored by Walter and Sarah, and it is not a special edition as it is listed in the coming Sundays too.
-
Doug became chief at WRC IN 2010. Veronica moved to WJLA IN 2016. Not sure where you heard the rumor, but if she was upset she waited six years to make a move.
-
Shirleen was on with Joe at 6pm tonight.
-
Diana and Shirleen were at noon. (David and Diana were on at 4) I assume David will solo at 11.
-
Gray Hall in for Rick today.
-
A first today. Usually Monica, Rick, Sharie, Brian, and Alicia fill-in for each other at 4pm and 5pm. Today, Walter filled in for Rick at 5pm!

I was not being snippy nor picking a fight. I was stating that it had already been posted, something many others have done before. I don't think that's grounds for getting kicked out. I responded with the insult after anchorman93 insulted me first. Sure, perhaps there was no need for my response, just as there was no need for anchorman93's response. A little creepy that you follow me that much to accuse me of lurking around and calling out other's missteps. And aren't you doing that very thing right now yourself? Thank you for being honest. I actually think you did me a favor. I've been a member of this forum for 8 years and have been debating leaving for a while. That time has come. I don't know where you're trying to go with this. Are you saying I've told somebody to jump off a cliff and die, or are you telling me to do so? Because I've never said any such thing nor would I joke about such a thing, and I most certainly would get no thrill out of it. I live a happy life and enjoy all life has to offer. I enjoy my work and have other hobbies (both of which I will encourage others to do). I thank God everyday for where I am in my life. And why do you assume I am a sir and not a ma'am? Just saying! With that being said, I've enjoyed my past 8 years here on TVNewsTalk (through the ups and downs). Thank you to the creators and moderators of the forum. Thank you to all the posters (including the ones that got on my nerves). I'm sorry to anyone I have offended over the past 8 years, and good luck to those of you who continue to be a part of this forum! And you're welcome to the people who are thrilled that I'm leaving. Good-bye!!!

No problem asshole. Glad to be of service.

Already mentioned on previous page of this thread about two weeks ago.

I'm pretty sure Susan Barnett had gone for KYW when she was with the station.
-
Has he been anchoring at 5 & 11 too? Add this to the fact that Kristine anchors on CBSN too.
-
No. He's been on for other special reports.
-
Cindy's always come off as being nice. I'm sure she is pleasant to work with and an all around good person. On the other hand Dana seems to be the complete opposite.
-
The proper props? I'll say what no one else will say. There is nothing better about her or Dana than your average anchor. She or Dana have done nothing to improve the ratings and have been lucky they haven't been canned over the years.
-
More likely she'll become an "eyewitness" to news on CBS3 or you can "count on it" that she'll appear on NBC10. They have anchor vacancies whereas 6ABC is "action"-packed with anchors.
-
I think WCBS needs to hire male anchors! They've got enough females already. Also, I looked FTVLive's article about this as they reported it a month ago, but their report didn't state what newscast she was anchoring.

Honored? Odd choice of words.

Deemphasizing George, if true, will be a mistake. If they want to expand the roles of others, a third hour at 9am is best way to do that, with Michael and Lara at the helm, and Amy and Ginger also playing big roles. Bump Live to 10am ET.

All the NBC O&Os schedules are practically identical. Philly, DC, Miami, and CT all are on east coast, and all do 11am. When LA moved thier's from noon to 11am, it was only announced on short notice. Same with Chicago back when that happen. So while it may not happen, the reasons you offer are not on point and make no sense whatsoever.
