  1. I wonder if Michelle Grossman is open to coming back for one of the weekend jobs. I know she's been filling in a lot since Ted left. Is SallyAnn Mosey free?
  2. Apparently she's headed to KRON to be the weeknight meteorologist there, plus she'll be closer to home: http://www.adweek.com/tvspy/kron-hires-meteorologist-from-philadelphia/161599
  3. I'm sure NBC did offer him a better pay. I would assume for most people (not all) that they hope to one day work at the network level.
  4. Yes understandably so. But what's that have to do with all these reporters leaving?
  5. And the exodus of great reporters (and would've been good anchors) continues at CBS3: http://www.adweek.com/tvnewser/nbc-news-hires-new-network-correspondent/280679 Yup, another good one gone.
  6. Thanks. And mornings?
  7. I was under the impression he was still there under a different role.
  8. What's the current anchor line up at WAGA?
  9. Sheena's been filling in in the morning and at 11am this week, with Glenn handling all the night newscasts. In the past it's been opposite.
  10. So was Sally Jessy Raphael. And believe it or not, Jerry Springer was a normal talk show the first two seasons (with low ratings) before the format/theme change.
  11. A little disappointed to see that people still watch Maury, Wilkos, and Springer. You're not a fan of Springer? Those three programs = TrashTV.
  12. Not sure if I follow your NBC/Telemundo point. So are English-speaking people a dying breed? I also maintain that this Fox football strategy is flawed.
  13. I believe that was someone else who said it in response to Breaking News's post.
  14. Yes he did noon with Lori.
  15. Shirleen filled in over the weekend too for Joe on Saturday.
  16. Agreed this seems more likely (actually 125 minutes). The only other plausible scenario is the morning team picks up midday, and David/Shiba at 4/6 and Chuck/Sibila at 5/11. There are also rumblings that a panel show may replace Meredith.
  17. Article on Meredith's show's fate and sagging ratings for FABLife: http://pagesix.com/2015/12/26/meredith-vieiras-low-rated-show-faces-ax-despite-revamp/
  18. I'm pretty sure it hasn't been picked up for a second season yet.
  19. I think the jury's out on that one. It wasn't doing that well to begin with, and then Tyra left, so we'll see.
  20. Or if they want to give Chuck and Vargas more time give them the entire 5pm and give the 6pm to Ushery/Russell. Anyway, this may all change if the rumored 4pm comes to fruition.
  21. Cecilia Vega in for Tom tonight. I'm guessing it's because he filled in for David a few times earlier in the week.
  22. I believe Meredith will be shifted to overnights on both stations. Meredith continues to be demoted to overnights in other big markets.
  23. There were some odd pairings. On Christmas Eve, Bolt filled in at 4 alongside Melanie. Then he soloed from 5pm on. I don't understand why they need TWO anchors at 4, but one is enough for 5&10.
  24. Kristen Welker anchoring NN tonight. She was also the newsreader on Today this morning. Raphael Miranda, who did the weather this morning on Today, is also reporting weather on NN.
  25. Interesting, Jim Donovan and Rahel Solomon co-anchoring the weekend evening news together. I'm still not buying him as an anchor, however I found him more bearable today.
