  1. In addition to stations already mentioned, WAVY, WKRN, KXAN, WXIN, WGHP, KELOLand, WDAF, and WSPA now stream live and have Roku/Fire TV apps as well. Its about damn time Nexstar got out of the livestream gutter and caught up to the 21st century. https://www.amazon.com/s?i=mobile-apps&rh=p_4%3ANexstar%2BBroadcasting%2C%2BInc.&language=en_US&linkCode=sl2&linkId=a2879ac5f46addecead377a6577a4371&search-type=ss&tag=lukebk-20&ref=as_li_ss_tl
  2. Looks like it's spreading fast. WJXT has them too. https://youtu.be/GmCA88r9jE4?si=cGXStUnGnDQD-hna
  3. Another note, but from the local TV sports world... KWTV's Sports Director Dean Blevins is getting into the Oklahoma Journalism Hall of Fame and the same will go for the late KWTV Sports Director Bill Teegins. https://www.newson6.com/story/67a9917409dac9cb5f9a4822/dean-blevins-bill-teegins-honored-in-oklahoma-journalism-hall-of-fame
  4. One of America's best small major market news/talkers has turned 90. Happy birthday WHIO Radio!

  5. I think Nexstar is finally reversing the trend. WFLA now has a Roku app and they stream live. KDVR has one as well and that's where you'll find KWGN's content as well. Nexstar has finally caught up to others but they still have ways to go. https://kdvr.com/plus/
  6. If you want more further proof that WPLG is still operated by Graham, here you go. Because it has fully spread over to WKMG. EDIT: However, WTF with that music? That's a questionable choice.
  7. Yeah. Same thing with WCJB. Some bumpers, IDs, and promos with GrayONE but nothing more. It has been more than a month too that WCJB has had them but as always, implementation takes time, whether its weeks or even months.
  8. I feel like this has become the MSNBC thread so I'll put it here... Yesterday (as I make this post) was Andrea Mitchell's last day at MSNBC after a 17-year run at 12 Noon ET. However, her 46-and-a-half-year run at NBC News will continue as Chief Washington and Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent, appearing on a vast number of NBC News programs.
  9. More memos to bring you as this is Out and About after all... Brad Edwards has seen the worst of WOI (the 90s and 2000s looks) and the best of WOI (recently). Late last month, after 28 years, the native Des Moiner and ex-TWC Meteorologist said goodbye to the duop that is WOI and KCWI. https://www.weareiowa.com/article/weather/brad-edwards-farewell-woi-tv-chief-meteorologist-career/524-ac6ea0b9-867a-4d54-935e-0f3aabd80535#:~:text="It has been quite a,for watching and supporting me!"&text=WEST DES MOINES%2C Iowa — WOI,keeping Iowans safe and informed. Staying in Iowa, KCRG-TV 9's sports director Scott Saville is also hanging it up. After 46 years in broadcasting and almost three decades at KCRG, March 21st will be his last day. https://www.kcrg.com/2025/02/01/kcrg-tv9-sports-director-scott-saville-retire/
  10. Its going to take two to tango to replace John Boel at WAVE whose final newscast is later this month. Brian Shlonsky at 5:00 and 6:00, and newcomer Jose Zozaya (coming over from KGUN 9 Tucson) at 11:00pm. https://www.wave3.com/2025/02/07/meet-new-anchors-wave-evening-newscasts/
  11. KTVU's A Second Look from 2008 honoring Dennis Richmond on the year he retired. Appropriate to bring this back considering his passing.
  12. Well that was the 5pm report. Here's the 4pm report where Lauren McCoy said in just a few short months. I should've included this too for reference.
  13. Someone who has been with KNXV since the visual overhauled relaunch in 2002 is hanging up her career. Friday, May 13th, is Katie Raml's last day. https://www.abc15.com/about-us/news-releases/main-evening-anchor-katie-raml-announces-retirement-from-abc15-arizona
  14. Its still months away. However, WVUE has already shown you its new home right here. Reminder: WVUE sold their old building to Xavier University as they'll move to mid-city near I-10. Unfortunately, its still not ready before the New Orleans Super Bowl. https://www.fox8live.com/video/2025/02/06/take-sneak-peak-fox-8s-new-home/ EDIT: It shows both their new studios on this one: one for main news and weather, another for NOLA NOW and GCSEN.
  15. I just noticed this... for WJW's 75th anniversary last year, they have a shop. The coolest is a T-shirt featuring all past WJW general and news-related logos and that's probably THE item to get. https://fox8shop.1stplacespiritwear.com/sites/OH/Cleveland/Fox 8 https://fox8shop.1stplacespiritwear.com/sites/OH/Cleveland/Fox+8/product.html?sku=I7S114683T1206L1D11970&category=Mens
  16. I just noticed this on the WSVN schedule. The hell? Already, this throws WSVN's Noon and 4pm news out the water for tomorrow. Why are they doing this when they have FS1 for this?
  17. Another day, another new GrayONE client. This time... WCTV Thomasville/Tallahassee. https://www.wctv.tv/2025/02/06/welcome-new-era-wctv/
  18. KTVU threw away its noon news format today and devoted the entire hour-long broadcast as a tribute to Mr. Richmond.
  19. I don't know where else to put it so I'm putting it here... Gulfshore Life (owned by the same folks as WINK and WXCW) did an article piece on WINK's Lois Thome. Over 32 years, how she became the most trusted news anchor in Southwest Florida. https://gulfshorelife.com/people/lois-thome-trusted-swfl-news-anchor/
  20. Ii debuted at 1pm PT but here's the 2pm PT open. Welcome to GrayONE, KVVU.
  21. Updated to say that he died at 81. But it doesn't matter the age... he was the TITAN, the GIANT of Bay Area TV news to the likes of Van Amburg and Dave McElhatton. I just woke up to this, and this one hurts badly. There will never be another one like him again.
  22. United Kingdom The last Sky News original has finally decided to call it a career after 36 years TO THE DAY of the network's founding. https://news.sky.com/story/kay-burley-retires-from-sky-news-after-36-years-13303416
  23. Long live KWHY. The legendary L.A. callsign is back from the dead on what used to be KBEH Channel 63. Filed on January 27th, approved a day later by the FCC on January 28th, and effective February 2nd. Now, instead of KWHY-TV Los Angeles on Channel 22, we have KWHY Garden Grove/Los Angeles on Channel 63. https://enterpriseefiling.fcc.gov/dataentry/public/tv/draftCopy.html?displayType=html&appKey=25076f91943b6ee9019441f45db81a7e&id=25076f91943b6ee9019441f45db81a7e&goBack=N
  24. I think we're being duped by this because I saw an intro for one of Indiana News Now (the new combined WFFT/WTHI/WLFI effort)'s weekend newscasts... and they were using a TWC meteorologist from Atlanta, complete with the StormTeam logo but also with TWC graphics. I'm starting to suspect that Allen will *lowkey* move forward with these plans but doing so without any fanfare.
  25. Another day, another sports rights agreement with Gray. This time, a deal with FanDuel Sports Network K.C. will carry 10 Sunday games on KCTV, KSMO, and some other Gray stations across Royals territory. https://www.facebook.com/GrayTelevision/posts/pfbid0cvFbdF11e26HYatjcwtHXLki8jNtnpmSHNcbwDFq1NBpSMTRkv5EuNX4Vag4w7Bcl
