Is Nexstar rolling out a different format website layout??
Check out KXAN's site -- totally different than other sites... I rather like it myself...

What kind of mic flags is WOOD using?
The fourth girl in the front is covering it with her hand... it's just the big 8 with woodtv.com in white on the corners... Very similar to sister station WLNS.. theirs is a big 6 with wlns.com in white in the corners

That pic is from the 2017 Super Bowl. The pic above that is this year's.
Aha... the pic didn't load for me the first time... Thanks

I see many outdated logos... more noticeably right off bat KFLY's old 10 logo.. and yes there is the CBS North Carolina one there (to the left of WISH's 8 ) also WHTM's old 27 is there... WOOD-tv does not use the 24-hour news 8 mic flags anymore either

I gotta say.. I love the animation of the ABC 7 logo

WOOD-TV meteorologist Kyle Underwood has left -- yesterday was his last day... He says he is staying in the area but will announce in 2019 what he will be doing...

You can add KEPR to the newest version of the graphics (only the weather right now... still has the Fisher graphics for news)
EDIT: KIMA also has the same setup as sister KEPR -- Newest weather graphics, Fisher for news graphics

There's a new face on WXYZ's weather team. Mike Taylor, who will be on during weekends, presented the weather yesterday at 6 PM and 11 PM.
He's an in-house hire who came from WMAR. Previous to that, he had a previous stint at WXYZ, as well as positions at WCIA and WBKB.
This could be a definite sign as well that Chris Edwards will actually retire. WXYZ's weather team currently consists of Dave Rexroth, Kevin Jeanes, Hally Vogel, Beth McLeod (for who knows how long) and now Mike Taylor is back.
Isn't Keenan Smith still there too??

Meteorologist Beth McLeod is now back in Detroit... at WXYZ... No bio on the website yet, but her Facebook is now Beth McLeod WXYZ Weather Team

Here they are going into another refresh of graphics, and they have lots of stations that have yet to switch over to Glass/Curves....

Here are the Conflict Markets where new homes would be needed:
DMA 28: Indianapolis
DMA 30: Utah
DMA 32: Connecticut
DMA 43: West Michigan
DMA 45: Susquehanna
DMA 47: Hampton Roads
DMA 50: Memphis
DMA 55: Richmond
DMA 57: NE Pennsylvania
DMA 68: Des Moines
DMA 80: North Alabama
DMA 98: NW Arkansas
DMA 102: Quad Cities
Note: Please do not attempt to resolve conflicts by selling to your BFF, poker buddy, car dealer, etc for pennies on the dollar.
Nexstar would easily keep WOOD over WXMI in a heartbeat

Quick update about WNEM's graphics. They have recently ditch their "knockoff" gfx and switch to the CBS O&O GFX. It's a huge improvement than before .
OLD:
NEW
Sooooooo much better... best graphics for the area

What's an example of that? Just curious.
Terri DeBoer & Matt Kirkwood on Daybreak 430a-7a
Matt Kirkwood @ Noon
Bill Steffen @ 5, 6, &11
Kyle Underwood @ 530, 7, 10
Ellen Bacca could slip in at any of these slots with a weather related story

Fellow NBC affiliate WOOD does this. And I think KXAS does this too.
Yeah no need for 2 meteorologists in the morning... Don't get me wrong, love my WOOD-TV, but they go overkill.. all 5 can be seen on any given day M-F

I kinda liked Doug & Karen as a team... I just didn't think Doug & Kaley jived as well

Why would WSMV/WNEM ruin the O&O looks like that? I mean the graphics looks good but the fonts on BOTH stations looks terrible imo
I'm still baffled they are using Gotham for weather but nowhere else... It's so tacky to combine the 2 fonts together

Although Gotham is being used for weather

Another local TV mainstay is retiring.
After 37 years, Sabrina Squire's last day at WWBT is May 23rd.

Wow... what is her secret?!?! She can't be near 60!

I'm not digging this at all... :-/
