The graphics remain the same, though.

Upon first inspection, I thought it was a variant of the Nexstar ABC package, but this look pre-dates that (going back to LIN-MG) and has lots of similarities...

Those graphics need to go ASAP!!! They are god awful..

I thought the same as well when they shifted Spencer Christian from 4 and 6pm weekdays to weekend evenings.

They have a huge weather team, with Mike leaving they’ll just have it like the old schedule and extend Drew to middays, Frances, Spencer or Lisa to replace for Mike’s shift at 4 and 5pm and with Sandyha at 6 and 11.

Besides... they really don't need 6 meteorologists in SF...

  3. I don't know why everyone is so picky about sets being in the corner.. I think it makes great use of space that's usually not used... Take WOOD for example.. They hosted the MI Gubernatorial Debate last night... They were able to move the anchor desk completely and use that space in the corner for a "press room" area... A lot of these sets where you see big ass desks dead center in the studio would have a hard time being moved someplace else if they needed the studio for something else... 🤷‍♂️

If they want to be taken seriously about weather, they need someone other than Ella.

She needed to go the moment she got there... She's been shown all over the internet for the wrong reasons... She can go anytime

Looks pretty good. I wonder if this is the start of a Scripps-wide overhaul. Though if you're going to have so much blue, you may as well update the logo too, or at least add yellow accents.

I kinda hope not -- IMHO this was a downgrade.  The anchor desk looks cheap... and come on... Plastering TV screens in front is so 2000s... They definitely could've done better here...

A final update to this thread so much longer later; they've switched the weather system to the O&O system as of July 20, 2022. Now to wait for the station to hit FoxNow full-time.

I will say it is one of the cleanest versions of the O&O graphics... Other stations should adopt this instead of the gaudier red and blue graphics

In Houston, KRIV Fox 26's Mike Iscovitz has been promoted to Chief Meteorologist for the station; he will continue to work the weekday morning and midday newscasts, unusual for a chief meteorologist anywhere in the country (usually C.M.'s work the weekday evening news).

Additionally, former KBMT, KXAS and WEWS meteorologist Remeisha Shade has joined KRIV as their weekday meteorologist, meaning she will do the weekday evening newscasts starting in September 2022.

Seems to me there are several CM's that work in the AM.. WXMI's Kevin Craig here in W. Michigan works AMs

  8. Definitely an improvement from the botched bs they had before this... Why they still have the poorly revamped Hearst weather graphics is beyond me... it looks even more outdated and gross than before... But overall a very very slight improvement from before...
