WTF Gray -- Come on now...
-
Out of curiosity do we know why it's taking so long for WTHR and WBNS to be "Tegna-fied"?? I know when they acquired KFMB it didn't take 4 months... I'm not expecting the newly acquired properties to get it for some time....
-
I wonder if they'll do a West Michigan Now branding for WWMT??
-
I see the WLUK also has the augmented reality for their weather graphics... does any other Sinclair stations have this??
-
Speaking of WDBJ I wish more Gray stations would pick up their graphics package, especially their weather graphics... I think the Raycom stations would've looked better with that packaage

Here Mayor -- stand here and look silly cutting some ribbon in front of our green screen and pretend to be interested in our fancy digs... I would've felt like a complete ass doing that...

I know the Phoenix market is hyper-competitive, but isn't KNXV close to the top in some time slots?
Yes, I just can't remember which slots... but it's between KNXV and KSAZ Fox 10

Gross... Just gross... I don't have time to cock my head to one side to read what's going on... The color choice is horrendous.. Did they not learn from their mistakes at WTSP in Tampa??

I wonder how much the person who took .32432432 seconds to design this "logo" (it ain't one sorry) got.... I wouldn't even give a quarter for it...

No, they need to use this music instead:
"Ladies and gentlemen, the name of the newscast is Go!"
Which is funny since the host, Kevin O'Connell just retired from TEGNA owned WGRZ not that long ago...

Quick question.....Who runs FTV and where do they get their sources.
Scott Jones does... He's been in the biz a long time and has his reliable sources...

I'm digging it... So much better than the current package

You're watching Monique Robinson with your WWAY Stormtrack 3 AccuWeather First Alert Storm Team Weather (end is exaggerated on purpose).... Either call it Stormtrack 3 weather or AccuWeather... Too many descriptors there..

Love how the 5 and the NBC peacock are animated here...

At least we have a filled in banner at the top instead of the see thru gobbeldy guck they have now

For having enough money to throw around scooping up stations, you'd think they'd spend a decent amount on a decent graphics package.... this is such a downgrade from a decent package that they had through Raycom....

Somehow I ended up on the WSYX talent page. I count 35 people. I know at least one of them is a Sinclair reporter, but is their news department really this large?
https://wwmt.com/station/people
WWMT has 27 (2 National Sinclair, 1 Michigan Sinclair reporter) which is rather large for the Grand Rapids/Kalamazoo/Battle Creek market -- especially since this station is very heavily focused on the Kalamazoo/Battle Creek portion.

What a f4cking idiot. How do these anchors still not realize that they shouldn’t say things like this when they’re mic’d whether they think they’re live or not?
Kari Lake is a pathetic example of journalism. I refuse to watch Fox 10 here in Phoenix until she's GONE. I've had the unpleasant task of helping her at a local health food store. She was rude, pushy, and thought she owned the place. The temptation to smack her was oh so great.

Sigh... get a different font and then we'll talk....

KFDA I noticed has new graphics. They aren't quite like WOIO... During the weather segment, the only thing really left over from Raycom are the circles used to display the temps on the maps...

Scripps Graphics 2019

I honestly think it's not half bad... Does it need work? Absolutely. But so glad they only rolled it out to one market and a market that isn't major. I applaud Scripps for choosing a smaller market to test this out in. Let's hope the package improves as they roll out. The music isn't bad either.
