MichiganNewsGraphicsJunkie 949 Posted April 10, 2019 Posted April 10, 2019 I just think it was a bad screen grab. The bug shows the logo much better in it's more original form with the CBS eye included. I've learned not to always judge the photos that Scott posts in his stories, as they may not be the "full picture"... '
tyrannical bastard 4036 Posted April 10, 2019 Posted April 10, 2019 I retract my prior post. The on-screen bug is similar to what they had minus the box and is white only... Back to 'NEP watch..... whenever that sale clears....

I dread the day to see what they ever do with WNEP.... Obviously you've all never heard of placeholder logos......

RGSJenkins 435 Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 The official logo, TENGAifed. And the 6 o'clock open.

MichiganNewsGraphicsJunkie 949 Posted April 12, 2019 Posted April 12, 2019 Why does it look like he's in a cave??
JCB4TV 351 Posted April 12, 2019 Posted April 12, 2019 WOW! It only took Tegna three months to change the on air look of WTOL & KWES. I wonder how long it'll take to change the websites to the Tegna layout. Whereas the stations Scripps took over in the Graycom deal not have the websites, but not the on air look. Moreover, the Boten Stations, the last group that Sinclair acquired before the Tribune fiasco have the Sinclair websites, but not the on air look.

Not too bad, at least they kept it largely unchanged other than taking it out of the box. They didn't go for that ugly experimental logo. For KWES, they didn't need to reinvent the wheel at all since the logo already fit well with the Tegna graphics.

Hopefully a replacement follows now that the new graphics have launched. Although based on what Tegna has done recently at some of its smaller stations, it will likely be a hand-me-down from a bigger market.
LOWERCASE GUY 283 Posted April 13, 2019 Posted April 13, 2019 I've said it once, and I'll say it again, LMFAO had the 4 Note C Clarity signature before TEGNA did.
EastTennesseeWXGeek 17 Posted April 14, 2019 Posted April 14, 2019 The lower third on KWES' graphics reminds of TEGNA/Raycom graphics combined. The font is small and weird looking and it goes out very smoothly. But we'll give em' time, because they have only been using the graphics for about a week. Now back to watching the other 8 stations being sold to TEGNA. I'm really looking forward to seeing how WATN in Memphis interacts with WBIR in Knoxville.
Yankees4life 563 Posted May 2, 2019 Posted May 2, 2019 They need to change that theme indeed. Maybe go back to This is Home or the previous theme before that...

Umm...ok
WestleyWolf 122 Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 i say let C Clarity last until it gets updates.
TSSZNews 1052 Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 At this point you might as well let it ride, but the music definitely feels out of place in some of the smaller, more traditional markets in Texas.
Kenneth Kissel 283 Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 Tenga's C Clarity is HORRIBLE compared to the other Station Groups, Scripps mostly uses Inergy and it is Amazing, Sinclair's music Package (CURVES and GLASS) is OK but better, Hearst's Strive is ok too, The O&Os are still the gold standard, TENGA Please get a real music package.
bhratbrat 437 Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 The only station that is even experimenting is KIII and they use probably the best cuts of the package
hfiles 81 Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 I must be one of the only people that actually enjoys C Clarity. It's different and that's what I like about it. Strive is good too, Inergy isn't bad, but Sinclair's theme just sounds like generic production music.
skbl17 188 Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 I think of C Clarity the same way I think of Strive: I like certain cuts but not the whole package. Any cuts where the dumb vocals are nonexistent or heavily downplayed are usually among my favorites: WUSA's weekend 11pm open (they've probably switched to all cold opens since,) KENS's morning open, KIII in general...
KevCor 344 Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 Some of ya'll are like Scott Jones and literally overreact to inconsequential stuff.
