RGSJenkins 435 Posted January 18, 2018 Posted January 18, 2018 Add First Coast News to the board. (The first ABC station to use this package, co-shared with NBC).
AaronQ 282 Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 And as of today, WCNC is officially on the list of the new graphics.
Georgie56 3326 Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 Add First Coast News to the board. (The first ABC station to use this package, co-shared with NBC). That music sounds even worse when it’s trying to be serious.
Rusty Muck 4405 Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 Add First Coast News to the board. (The first ABC station to use this package, co-shared with NBC). Oh god I forgot FCN had a virtual set. That music sounds even worse when it’s trying to be serious. It's almost the stuff of parody.
Ntropolis 599 Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 I just saw a promo on KSDK that had the French Tegna music. Only a matter of time before they make the switch. Looks like KSDK switched in the past couple days
Conrad 113 Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 Only 7 stations are left in TEGNA's NBC pact: WXIA KPNX WCSH/WLBZ KCEN KAGS KBMT (subchannel of ABC affiliate)
MyNewsArchive 197 Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 The French music has hit Boise. At least they kept their V/O for the intros, unlike KING and KUSA.
Conrad 113 Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 At least they kept their V/O for the intros, unlike KING and KUSA. I noticed that the USA Today graphics are still used for school closings for now. On a semi-related note, is KUSA still using Roger Thompson? I think they still use him. And you obviously based your signature on mine (which is based on ChesapeakeTV's)!
Conrad 113 Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 Oh god I forgot FCN had a virtual set. Do any other TEGNA stations have virtual sets?

rkolsen 1686 Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 KARE. Check. It looks like they were trying to go the the route of having a closings ticker and shrinking the program feed. But it looks like they failed as part of the standard ticker was covered up and there was a black border around the program.
KevCor 344 Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 Based on the NewscastStudio montage and the image above, the bug changes colors. Unlike the last package, it doesn't seem to mean anything in relation to the story. While we knew the USA Today color coding would be gone, I don't know the rhyme or reason of this. Also, while the earlier 7-day image has the same day draped in the purple, a check on their website showed today in orange. The orange could be a morning thing, but it's hard to tell. So, I have since found out that while the news stories aren't color coded like in the old Gannett package, the yellow-orange-purple-blue IS set for the show time. Yellow/Orange is for the daytime shows, Purple are the Evening shows, and the blue is for the late news. The weather highlight color will also follow the same color pallet pattern.
TSSZNews 1052 Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 KPNX's implementation on their 10PM is doing the graphics a bit of solid justice--the more aggressive music probably helps that.
KnoxvilleTVFan 286 Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 I did check WBIR-TV for just a moment at 5pm today and I can now confirm that the new TEGNA French music is being used there. They used it in the tease and open.
atlnews2 596 Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 why did Tegna commission music just for their NBC stations?
Conrad 113 Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 why did Tegna commission music just for their NBC stations? They commissioned music for all their stations. So far, only NBC stations have it.
toxictwister00 25 Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 I saw on WXIA’s The Late Feed the weather graphics have been updated to the new package. I don’t know if they have done a full rollout today though.

On a side note: I really hate the new websites. The livestream link never comes on time, and don't get me started on the video pausing when you switch to another tab.

The VO artist who does that line does it so perfectly!
jbnews 345 Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 Does anyone know anything about who composed the package?
LOWERCASE GUY 283 Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 WXIA is using the new graphics as of today.

MyNewsArchive 197 Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Well, KGW finally dumped This Is Home for "TEGNA French" music. At least they still kept their V/O.
