Will WFOR change its set completely or just make a minor repair?

The temporary set looks better when the main anchor shot is kept at a close frame. Wide makes it look like they're in a closet.

I know what the news desk will look like, but I am very interested to know what the new set for CBS News Miami is gonna look like. Time for changes to come in 2025.

I’ve always thought they had a cramped set/studio. Would love to see how they remake the new designs.

the temp set isn’t that bad either.

A tropical Florida-ized version of the KCAL set would be cool.

Most reprots indicate it will be used for sports and weather, including a special NCCA tournament show.  Here is Parmount's actual press release:

Agreed.

Incase VR ever becomes the full time set...I'm split on it. On the one hand, it's unique and innovative, and a break up from the traditional anchor desk, video wall studios that we see.

I like seeing them on CBS News 24/7, but for some reason they look odd on the local level to me.

The video below suggests that it will also be in the news. Well, the old studio no longer exists.

Don't care what anyone says, or how good they try to make it. Full VR sets are really lame.

I know admins dislike bumping threads but wanted to mention WFOR is still using the cramped closet temporary set for non VR newscasts such as this Sat and Sun morning.

It’s probably staffing or studio maintenance.

KPIX used to use the Newsroom on the weekend morning editions but recently started going all

AR/VR now

It’s only the weekdays where you only see the Newsroom flash cam desk used on the Noon Newscasts.

Since the newsroom is empty, they have been shifting to the side of the set to look away from the news room which was the former “10pm NEWS NOW” shot.

Still Not sure why the Noon show is not AR/VR yet unless both studios are in use for the CBS 24/7 Stream.

I believe it is KPIX's choice to use the newsroom during the midday newscast, because at night there is CBS 24/7 PrimeTime with Elizabeth made from the VR/AR studio at the same time that the local 5pm and 6pm editions of KPIX air (also made in the AR/VR studio, but different studio)
