As we enter July, it’s time to sunset the 2024-25 thread and move to the 2025-26 thread.

There is a new game show, Scrambled Up, with host Michael Yo coming this fall.

Sounds like a game show rejected by Game Show Network.

Congrats Eva Pilgrim on being named the new host of Inside Edition I thought it be Mary Calvi that would've taken over even know she also works for WCBS.

I wouldn't be surprised if Scrambled Up & The Perfect Line be on WOTV maybe it will go someplace else WZZM in that death spot in 10AM nothing has worked in that timeslot for WZZM.

So, if she's not starting till this fall, who's hosting in the interim?

I'd assume Calvi continues as weekend anchor and fill-in, so her. She hasn't been off since Deb left, though, so we might see one of the correspondents show up as host, at some point, too.

Free TV Networks has finally realized that their coverage for Defy outside Gray is absolutely terrible (not a single full-powered station in California for either network outside KRON!), so they put their tail between their legs and Scripps (which killed it for Ion Plus last year, with FTVN getting the name and branding rights literally last minute for their male A&E rerun farm) is now carrying Defy again on some of their stations. Some contract expirations on Gray stations allowed the expansion of 365BLK and Defy to more markets.

Correction: Both networks are also being added to additional Gray stations. Between Scripps and Gray, Atlanta, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Colorado Springs and Tucson are the only markets with new 365BLK and Defy affiliates where both groups overlap.

The future of The Kelly Clarkson Show is up in the air.

There have been rumors that if she does decide to hang it up, Hoda Kotb could start a talk show to take its place.

Not the most reputable of sources reporting this, I wouldn't be surprised if they shrink the production shoots to record more episodes in a bunch so she has more time off, saves money too.

I got my hands on the local NBC-Fox-ABC-CW affiliates'' fall schedules, and found two timeslots where "Family Feud Favorites" was added to the schedule. Two additional airings, along with the four more recent episodes that are already there. I know in some markets there are up to six Feud episodes a day already -- does this mean they can show up to eight, or are two of the current six being repackaged as "Favorites?"

Live PD+, the hit A&E Franchise, is coming this fall to local stations. Will we see more Sony Pictures television distributing the new series? We'll see about that for the results.

It was nice to have syndication not have all these lousy cop shows for a few years (this was syndicated as Police Patrol in 2019-20), but I'm not shocked the backsliding resulted in the return of the format (all the bad crime reenactment shows and "True Crime Daily" bombing didn't help at all).

feels like one of those 2am filler shows, less worse than that awful sounding True Crime News FOX wants to slap on their owned stations "showcasing local crime stories" 😬

Correction: The combo runs six FFs. I neglected the Fox station with two from 530-630a.

Live PD: Police Patrol was on WXSP until that ended in June 2020 and aired Cops forever since it's launched in late Aug of 99 until that ended in fall of 2020. I wouldn't be surprised if Live PD+ is aired on WXSP maybe CW6 their sister station. As for True Crime News that was Crime Watch Daily from the Dead Tribune used their news stations for the 3 years 2015-18 and others as well with FOX being partners for True Crime News but just didn't work. I'd watch it if it was on in the afternoon or even early access prime and late night as I'm not a morning person I didn't watch True Crime News.

Live PD+ is actually distributed by Trifecta Entertainment, the company that distributes A&E shows like Court Cam, The First 48, and Pawn Stars. Definitely can't wait for the launch beginning in September.

WUPA 69 in Atlanta is showing Tamron Hall on their schedule at 3pm starting August 18th. It's not showing anything different on WSB's schedule yet.  I wonder if they're moving Judy Justice to daytime or adding a 3pm newscast.

After 24 years on WITI, Seinfeld is moving to WMLW this fall

Must be an even swap, because WITI is getting the Dateline repeats they previously aired (probably for the 1pm slot vacated by Pictionary).

Kelly Clarkson recently cancelled her latest residency dates because of her ex-husband's ill health (which was not the narrative ET and other gossip sites had been trying to push so God, they're horrible); he passed away this morning. I'm so devastated for her and her children, and will completely understand if she will not be back on the show in September, much less November.

In case you haven't heard, After FOX First Run axed three shows, Pictionary, Dish Nation and Person Place or a Thing. Debmar-Mercury is about take over distribution rights for the remaining FOX shows on September 8th, including TMZ, TMZ Live, Divorce Court, and 25 Words or Less, joining Family Feud, Sherri, and People Puzzler on the lineup. This fall season is about to change everything with FOX syndication.
