Pretty sure they started that back when they debuted their current set.

No, it didn't. I watched the day it debuted; that never started at that time. KYW's current set debuted less than 2 months before even KP(I/Y)X debuted their AR weather concept.

Paramount May be looking to sell some local TV stations

From TV Spy — “Paramount Global may be looking to sell some of the local TV stations it considers ‘non-core.’ The CBS parent is exploring an option to sell independent stations in markets including New York, Philadelphia, Dallas and Tampa.”

Also — CBS Mornings will be expanded to a third hour this fall. That might explain why The Drew Barrymore Show was moved to 3pm. I am guessing the 9am hour of CBS News Philly will end or be moved to a different time.

To some stations as an option too, KYW Tv just expanded their 9am newscast to one hour.

The third hour of Mornings is optional. It will primarily be on CBS News 24/7 with a few affiliates carrying it.

The 9am was recently expanded to an hour on TV and isn’t going anywhere.

As an O&O, the “option” isn’t much of one of the ultimate powers that be state otherwise. Moving Drew to a full hour at 3 certainly made sense, more so than that random Feud hour, but it becomes an interesting case at 9 am. Would it be odd to axe the just-expanded newscast? Sure. But could it become a casualty of what the network wants to do with its own properties? Also sure. It will be interesting to see how the various pieces come into focus.

According to Crossing Broad, the move was a cost cutting one and the plan moving forward is a Channel 6 approach of a solo anchor for the 6p & 11p shows with Ukee Washington.

Supposedly and allegedly, Rosemary Connors of NBC 10 is leaving to go across the street at CBS PHILADELPHIA.

This is part of a larger effort to build a weather reporting network.

CBS News and Stations announces weather unit changes

'CBS News and Stations has announced the next stage in building its weather reporting network that includes adding a rotating cast of forecasters to “CBS Mornings.” CBS News national weather correspondent Rob Marciano kicked off the new effort, appearing on “Mornings” Jan. 6, 2024, reporting from Washington, D.C. amid the winter storm that hit the region.

The network also plans to use Jessica Burch from KPIX in San Fransisco and Kate Bilo from KYW in Philadelphia as part of the mix on its morning show. Segments will also leverage the network’s existing mixed reality technology when appropriate.'

Curious to know if she will still be doing the local cut ins on the days that she’s also handling the national weather.

I'd think so considering how KPIX has handled this with Jessica Burch & she also doing stuff for the CBS News streaming service.
