Just flipping through the channels this evening, looks like WHAS has made the switch.

It happened this past Monday.

I'm surprised nobody has covered WFMY's look at Pixel Lens. 14:02 into this video, you'll see it (since this is a NewsActive3 video).

I've been keeping a close eye on KHOU-11, my local TEGNA station, and they have been using the new Pixel Lens graphics in their newest promos, but its newscasts have yet to switch in full at this time.

Same goes for WUSA 9 in D.C.

From what I've seen KFSM and WGRZ have the best implementation so far imo.  KFSM for the best mix of footage and WGRZ for including a voiceover as a proper intro.

KVUE/Austin debuted them today. It’s been *very* rough.

In what ways? I think they are one of the stations now on Cuez....so no proper production department anymore.

An insane amount of technical errors. On the debut day, they were in the middle of a live report on a fire that killed 3 kids and the automation dumped them out into a 3-minute commercial break at 4:03p … right after the show had just started. They came back, apologized, and had to start all over again.

Double boxes randomly showed up during a weather hit (the news anchor was looking down and had no clue he was on camera), no audio off the top of the newscast, going to black for 30ish seconds, reporters who clearly don’t know they’re live on air (one guy was chit-chatting with a state trooper passing him in a parking lot as he was being introduced and the anchor had to introduce him a second time to get his attention), etc.

They’re using an extremely condensed version of the new open that seems unnecessarily rushed and they are also alternating the same three transitions/wipes over and over and over again before each story.

It has just been really, really bad quality from a station that has never had widespread issues like this before.

I see what you mean!  And can Tegna please get rid of that annoying transitional sound ( the chime that you hear before a live shot)

WUSA (CBS/Washington, DC) unveiled the new TEGNA graphics today using a different varient of the Pixel Lens theme music & a voiceover & lol at them butchering a town name in Falls Church, VA as well as not using Washington, DC in the list of town names.

The 11PM edition uses the more-familiar, authoritative sounding version that is on all the other stations thus far.  The earlier evening version does not tie to what, assumedly, are the morning and night themes that the other stations air.

As of today’s noon news, “Falls Chur” is fixed on WUSA.

This never would have happened under their old art director. 👀

13 News Now, the affiliate in Norfolk, Virginia, used the new intro in their 11pm newscast, but it doesn't appear they are using the rest of the updated package just yet.

KHOU is on Pixel Lens as of Noon today.

That leaves just nine stations who haven't made the switch yet.

Wrong. 11. I have a running list.

WZDX, KXTV, WQAD, WOI/KCWI, WWL/WUPL, WZZM, WBNS, WNEP, WPMT, WATN/WLMT, and KYTX have all yet to made the switch.
