Now that this graphics and music package has reached the Scripps News channel, hopefully the rollout process will start to move a little faster to the rest of the local stations that have yet to receive it.

I'm thinking KNXV is next.  I noticed on Wednesday on their website that more sections have the new graphics backgrounds.  I also asked Met. Jorge Torres and his response seems promising.

Had a feeling this was coming seeing promos using this graphics template on Oscar night a few weeks back & perfect timing too with the NCAA Women's Final Four in Phoenix this weekend & ABC airing the Nat'l Championship game on Easter Sunday. Unlike the graphics change at another ABC affiliate in the host city of the Men's Final Four, WRTV (Indianapolis), because of the dumbness of CCB to gut out everything Scripps had there, this change is a welcome one. Also, who would've thunk it that we'd get this before Gray One for Arizona's Family KPHO (CBS)/KTVK, which is crazy IMO with seemingly most every other Gray station on it, you'd think with us now perhaps the biggest market they got with a Big 4 affiliation with WANF in Atlanta bolting CBS last year, they'd update 3TV/CBS5 ASAP, not to mention in-state sister station KOLD (CBS/Tucson) has Gray One.

KJRH has been running promos for two months and hasn’t swapped yet when I asked they said it was coming but didn’t have a definitive date as to when it would be done. So don’t get hopes up on WTKR getting them right away.

Probably random, I mean here in AZ, KNXV/Phoenix got the new graphics package last month, but KGUN/Tucson is still on the old Scripps graphics.

Yes, their implementation is wonderful with their sweeping camera angles and even a talent rejoin graphic in the 6pm newscast featuring Bill Fitzgerald, GeNienne Samuels, chief meteorologist Zach Daniel and sports director Lane Casadonte. WTVR is the only station so far with the new music and graphics that features the talent in the rejoin.

Looks like they took a page out of the ABC O&O talent opens. KFSN and KABC do a good job of showcasing talent personalities in the talent opens.

This is the talent rejoin graphics for CBS 6 This Morning featuring Reba Hollingsworth, Rob Cardwell, meteorologist Tom Patton, and traffic anchor Kirsten Luehrs. It’s refreshing to see stuff like this for a change compared to the mostly generic vibe of the other stations with this package.

Because many of the stations are the "Neighborhood Reporter" format and they are constantly displaying their pictures and names before each story, so that would be overkill.

KGTV (ABC 10 San Diego) might do this when they get the new music/graphics because they have been leaning into the talent open/rejoin stuff over the last year or so but we will see.

That would be, but for those who don't use it a lot, such as WTVR Richmond, I like this.

Given that both graphics are designed by the same agency, I can see it happening here, depending on who uses it.
