With 1060 now out of the building though, they could convert the space they vacated into studio space if they ever decide to move on from their now pushing 10 year old set. Makes total sense.. Their 10 year old set makes WCBS and WJZ sets look bad since both of the latter had studio revamps within the last 3 years.

No way there set 10 it got revamped in 2012.
SoFloTVClassics 1003 Posted April 8, 2020 Posted April 8, 2020 *sighs* Here's hoping for CBSN South Florida to make this happen, once this all passes.
24994J 5621 Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 No service-exclusive programming, but CBSN Chicago has soft-launched. https://www.robertfeder.com/2020/04/21/cbs-2-opens-terrific-new-chapter-247-streaming-news-service/
speed053 38 Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 CBSN Chicago is now live. https://chicago.cbslocal.com/
JosiahCubed 281 Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 Keeping this on topic w/ CBSN stuff, CBSN National is back to having its normal graphics and anchors instead of relying on CBSN Boston, CBSN LA, and CBSN Bay Area.
DENDude 221 Posted April 26, 2020 Posted April 26, 2020 Beginning today, KCNC now halts CBSN Denver on Saturday at 11:30AM and now resumes it at 4:30AM on Monday morning, Saturday afternoon & all day Sunday it is the CBSN National feed. In addition beginning today the CBSN Denver feed is no longer supported on Firefox & Chrome (SSL & Active X Security issue), you have to have Microsoft Edge or the Apple browser to view the feed.
TexasTVNews 1378 Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 Any word on the launch of CBSN Dallas/Fort Worth?

east-tx-tv 121 Posted April 30, 2020 Posted April 30, 2020 IMO, the DFW CBSN should have been set up before now.

channel2 982 Posted May 2, 2020 Posted May 2, 2020 Given how much the money people seem to love DFW it's surprising that it seems to be kind of an afterthought here.
Weeters 1969 Posted May 3, 2020 Posted May 3, 2020 CBSN Sacramento will happen, eventually. They've apparently been "close" to launch since February. I'm sure we all can figure out what might be holding them up.

If you compare them with WFOR, they would be on top of the list. I wonder if they will use part of KMAX’s studio since it’s a bigger functioning studio or condense the newsroom to build a setup.

I know another station (I think maybe WBZ?) was going to use the old Master Control room to build out their CBSN studio. I hear KOVR has a pretty large Master Control Room. What would be nice is a new KMAX set that could be used for both... The current Park Place set doesn't make use of the space very well.

I agree, that set is very dated.

TexasTVNews 1378 Posted May 18, 2020 Posted May 18, 2020 It's a quiet launch, but CBSN DFW is on the air. https://dfw.cbslocal.com/live/cbsn-dfw/

Because sister KCBS-KCAL, and WCBS-WLNY and KTVT-KTXA all the sister duopoly station either don't have sets or have outdated sets or there sharing a set with there sister-in-law CBS counterpart. But the KMAX set needs to be renovated it would be good for them to share the set with them KMAX for CBSN Sacramento. Cause KOVR set is small connected to a newsroom behind the monitor, furthermore the old KOVR you wouldn't see the skyline in the background but another angle with the rotating desk had the newsroom.
Georgie56 3318 Posted May 19, 2020 Posted May 19, 2020 Here's a look at most of the CBSN DFW set. The 11am newscast yesterday was also done from here and used the CBSN Local graphics.

CBS11 Weatherboy 44 Posted May 19, 2020 Posted May 19, 2020 So maybe KTVT may be getting a main set upgrade?

Georgie56 3318 Posted May 19, 2020 Posted May 19, 2020 Screenshot collection of today's midday newscast, as aired on KTVT. Not sure why they aren't producing exclusive newscasts for CBSN DFW yet, considering they already have the set.
