Fox News harrasment controversy

That happened two years ago, and I see no evidence that sexual harassment is institutionalized at CBS or any other network to the same extent that it is at FNC.

Are you good at the google machine? How about a deep search?

How much dough did CBS drop to take care of that case? God forbid word gets out about Male on Male sexual harassment at the hallowed CBS.

That one took 5 seconds to find.

I can run a Pacer or lex/nex search and find plenty more.

Every network has sexual harassment cases PENDING RIGHT NOW.. Active court cases on the federal and local level.

So don't tell me it's not everywhere.

I should have specified. Yeah, it happens everywhere. But I'm specifically talking about Fox.

The Wrap article proves that this culture at Fox has been alive and well for nearly two decades. What's worst is they figure they can settle their way out of things to avoid going through further legal channels (glad that Andrea Tantaros didn't take any of their settement money).

This is almost similar to when Fox made settlements to five employees who've said they were harrassed by Bill O'Reilly. See the pattern?

I'm not going to defend FOX...but I will show that others are just as guilty, and that the problem is industry wide.

Let The Wrap dive into a real look at the problem....I doubt they would devote the time or resources to a real investigation.

Why focus on one problem when the problem is industry wide?

Why just outrage at FOX? Because it's "The Flavor Of The Week".

The Wrap article is a inaccurate as to the scope of the "problem".

Fox News is being sued over it's false Seth Rich reporting by Rod Wheeler, the Private Investigator that Fox cited in its false reporting. The lawsuit alleges that Fox worked with the White House to make up this false story

Serves them right to F over a private investigator. What, they thought Rod Wheeler would take it, roll over and play dead?

And here's the kicker in the story:

Today's secret word is, "collusion."

And "Collusion" is the first word of our Password Puzzle, would you like to try and guess what the Puzzle is?

I thought the name Rod Wheeler sounded somewhat familiar to me, and now I rediscovered what I remember him from (and I am subsequently laughing my ass off again, too)

Overall, it's unsurprising that Fox News is now acting similar to a state-run media outlet, in particular Trump favorites like Fox & Friends. I always found that show in particular to have a really weird feel to it.

Why else would it be the favorite show of a barely literate, obese 70-year-old who thinks that he's a "president?"

Doesn't surprise me one bit, sadly. A leftover from the Ailes "good ol' boys club" era. I wonder who else has had problems that simply haven't been brought to light yet. Wasn't Steve Doocy named in Gretchen Carlson's original suit as harassing her (which led to her complaining to Ailes to begin with)? Unless it wasn't sexual in nature and he was just being an asshole.

I'm sure the programming people at FNC aren't happy. "We JUST rearranged the schedule and gave this guy a show after the last one was harassing employees." That's if he ends up leaving the network, of course, which I think will only happen if this turns out to be bad enough for him (even O'Reilly didn't leave after the 'falafel' incident).

Eric Bolling's Saturday show, "Cashin' In," usually airs at 11:30am ET. Today, it was America's News HQ instead....

Does the name "Johnny Dollar" sound familiar to anyone? It should.

That being said, Cashin In was and is prerecorded, and they clearly couldn't find someone at the last minute to rerecord it.

It also means he's going to be suspended to some extent. They wouldn't have done this if they weren't going in that direction.

There it is:

Fox News has suspended host Eric Bolling pending the results of its investigation he sent lewd photos to three female colleagues.

A Fox News spokesperson released the following statement: “Eric Bolling has been suspended pending the results of an investigation, which is currently underway.”

The Bolling-hosted program Cashin’ In taped yesterday morning was pulled last night after FNC became aware of the allegations in a Huffington Post story that Bolling had texted unsolicited photos of male genitalia to three female colleagues. Cashin’ In was replaced today by a live half-hour of news.

The network will use a rotation of substitute hosts in Bolling’s place on The Specialists (weekdays, 5 p.m.) and Cashin’ In (Saturdays, 11:30 a.m.).

Attorney Paul Weiss is conducting the Fox News investigation.

Well, there are a few jobs open at the White House...

It's funny because Bolling turned down a position with Trump in favor of a contract extension at FNC.

But it's not like Trump has any standards for hiring...

And guess who is the law firm representing Bolling?

Yup, Kasowitz, Benson, Torres. Kasowitz being Trump's former primary lawyer.

Apparently Dewey, Cheathem and Howe weren't available.

Sure sounds like a big shakeup in in the offing.

I would be surprised is Laura didn't get either the 9 or 10 slot (the latter would have Lumpy move back to 9) and the Five going back to ... well, 5. Quite frankly, Maddow is steamrolling The Five, and that's cripped Lumpy's ratings at 10 as a result of a terrible lead-in.

It's also an explicit admission that Eric Bolling is no longer in the channel's long-term future. Which means Sinclair will snap him up because of course they will, lol
