Tom deserves all the rest he can get and more after so many years of early-morning wake-up calls. Has KTRK announced who's taking over? The station and Houston, more generally, has seen a huge amount of turnover lately.

With May sweeps over, KXAN/Austin has parted ways with evening anchor Sydney Benter. She’d been there about 4 years. Britt Moreno from KCNC/Denver has said she is heading to KXAN and is the presumed replacement. Sydney’s post is actually kind of heartbreaking. It sounds like she was completely caught off guard.

News Director Tim Wieland from KCNC has confirmed via Twitter that Michelle Griego is leaving KPIX and will be heading back home to anchor CBS4 Mornings.

 

Michelle tweeted she will be heading home in August.

 

Not sure who will replace Michele’s position... The only candidates come to mind are Anne Makovec, Emily Turner, maybe Veronica De La Cruz if she comes back since she’s been on LOA for health and personal reasons.
