Did anyone catch the end of tonight's 11pm news? The very tail end was unfortunately cut off of the recorded stream on the site, and I was wondering if Sade said anything to Mike about his first day on at 5pm. https://abc7ny.com/videoClip/16650619/

The staggered departure of Bill, probably is rooted on production side. What the general audience does not know is that these newscasts, while they may look and feel the same on air, they are all very different productions with different staff, producers, etc, news teams, etc working solely for the 5pm show, the 6pm show likely has different people behind it's production as well.

I’m wondering if we’ll see an “official” announcement about Pedro this week? Mike took over the 5 last Tuesday and Pedro was on vacation so it would make sense.

It's funny though, while nobody is going to view them full-resolution, Lee and Sade (and Ryan) are rather blurry compared to the newer photo for Mike.

Yeah these photos definitely look like they are photographed separately. .

Just saw the first promo with his image and name included alongside Shirleen, Brittany, Sam and Heather’s for 4:30-7am. These same promos did not include him earlier this week. I guess that makes it official.

I don’t exactly remember the Instagram story (it’s since expired), but he had tagged somebody and if l recall correctly there was something about an announcement this weekend??? Perhaps the tagged person is his replacement on weekends?

So with GMA moving, is it correct ABC7 will have shows produced from 7 Hudson Square from 4am until 7pm (besides for the hour General Hospital at 3pm)?

I did some research... according to this website, TVTaping.com, Tamron Hall tapes her show at 8:15 a.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. In other words, there's a 2-4 pm break, I assume.

I'm guessing OP didn't mean live tapings in that window, just that the shows that air then are all from that building. GMA3 isn't live at 1, either, if we went by your thinking.

That's quite something!  The Walt Disney Co. will certainly be getting its money's worth out of that production facility, to say the least.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh okay. I got confused. I think he meant 4 am-7 pm, outside of GH on WABC-TV, all coming from 7 Hudson Square. Yes... that is true.

It seems he still appears on the 10am but it seems lately the days vary. It used to be Tuesday Wednesday Thursday, but I’ve seen him on Fridays recently too. I have not seen him on the 6am hour of the morning show in quite some time though, and his picture was removed from morning newscast video thumbnails.

Wow thats A LOT of airtime from that building haha how do they fit all of those sets there? I'd imagine they have spaces below ground too? The studios are rather large so I wonder how they fit them all into the building.

I'm not sure why the level of surprise here.  One of the many reasons for the new building was to provide more studio space for shows originating from NY whether live or taped.  It's not unique.

 

Out of 30 Rock right now (which will change somewhat at the end of the year with the Versant spin-off) shows include from NBC: Early Today, Today, NBC News Now (most of the day and early evening),  Kelly Clarkson, NBC Nightly News, Tonight with Jimmy Fallon, Late Night with Seth Meyers; From WNBC: TINY, News4 at 11, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 11, New York Live; From WNJU: Noticiero 47 Telemundo Primera edición, Noticiero 47 Telemundo al mediodiá, Noticiero 47 Telemundo a la 5:30, 6 and 11; From MSNBC: Way too early, Morning Joe, Ana Cabrera Reports, Chris Jansing Reports, Katie Tur Reports, Deadline White House, The Beat with Ari Melber,  All in with Chris Hayes, Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell and the 11th Hour with Stephanie Ruhle.  MSNBC shows originating in DC may still use 30 Rock facilities for live/taped interviews during those shows. This does not include weekly shows like Saturday Night Live and Dateline.
