Does anyone know why Sade never replaces Liz at 6pm? And during Bill's vacation, Mike didn't do it with Liz at 6pm.

I don’t think they’ve ever (if very rarely) done 2 anchors at 6pm. Even if they’re both off it will be a solo anchor.

Ryan Field posted pics of the new building, some of the (empty) studios and what looks like might be the newsroom. Looks pretty cool so far

They rarely do it and I don’t think I’ve ever seen Sade anchor at 6. When both Bill and Liz are out they used to have Sandra do 4, 6 and 11 and Joe in for Bill at 5, 6 and 11. I’ve rarely seen Mike or David at 6 despite filling in for Bill at 5 and 11.

I believe Friday (or one day last week) Mike did every evening newscast 4,5,6,11

Yeah if those images that Ryan Field shared with us are what could be the new WABC studio next year, then it looks much larger and spacious than their current one. I'd imagine it to be on par with KABC. 😀

Perhaps these images below are the unfinished new WABC spaces? Could also be for ABC News / World News Tonight as well... But the newsroom pic on the bottom certainly looks like that could be for WABC / Eyewitness News especially with the characteristic blue lighting hue on the ceiling.

Studio 1 is for Eyewitness News.
Studio 2 is for “Live” (audience). Studio 2 is done and looks largely the same as TV13 does.
Both studios are exclusive to WABC.

The space mentioned is the EWN newsroom. Flashcam space still yet to be built.

Studio 1 will be more expansive than studio 77 is. It’s significantly larger.

Is Studio A the same as you refer to Studio 1 or is it one of the studios for GMA, Live, or WNT?

Yes sorry, I forgot the studios were changed to letters.
A is for Eyewitness News

B is for Live with Kelly and Mark

Stacey Sager posted on IG that she's returning on-air tomorrow.

Wishing her all best. Living in fear that an awful disease is just going to keep rearing its head in your life again is nothing anyone should have to deal with.

Sade did a great job.

(Funny to see from that 9 minute clip reel, though, how little the anchors are really doing over the course of the two hour show. Definitely not Charlie and Diane's GMA -- but that's nothing new.)

It's certainly no coincidence that a WABC anchor was tapped to fill in on GMA -- where plenty of network correspondents would be happy for a chance to fill in -- after Debra O'Connell took over ABC News.

Nice to see looking at reports on their YouTube channel on the eve of the Presidential Debate hosted by ABC News down the road in Philly, ABC7 pulling out all the stops having morning anchor Mike Marza & nightime anchor Sade Baderinwa outside the venue reporting.

I mean, it all makes sense. Mike was live from Philly, so he handled most of the A-block, so Pedro solo at the station was adequate for the first part of the show. The 9/11 proceedings make having a bigger name on the show, with an absence, and remember, Bill anchored coverage at mid-morning.

I would venture to guess that it might have been unavailability by Charlesworth. If they were looking for bigger names they would’ve brought in David or Joe as well instead of Pedro.

update: maybe you’re correct as Liz is on at 4pm too.

Copy. Was asking  because in the multiple YouTube clips I'm seeing of 6:00 p.m. broadcasts, as well as a few times I've watched when I'm in NYC, I see no Bill.

Joe Torres, Lee Goldberg, Sade Baderinwa, and Bill Ritter. 3/4ths of them work together every night. Joe handles weekends like a pro.

However, they all came together yesterday for something special and you'll notice it here.

Yesterday was Art Moore's last day as an ABC executive after a stellar 53-year-run at the network. You'll notice them four in front row here as LIVE with Kelly and Mark paid a toast and a tribute to the exec. before the end of their program.

(For those who don't know or are stuck in a rut, WABC-TV New York produces the program and is distributed by their parent company Disney/ABC via their syndicated distributor, Disney-ABC Domestic Television.)
